Regional Director of Operations

Nature scope Working in conjunction with the Divisional Vice President of Operations (DVPO) supporting the company in its efforts to achieve community, regional and company business goals in accordance with residents needs, government regulations, and the companies policies and procedures.

The Regional Director of Operations (RDOs) focus is providing hands-on support, guidance, and direction on operations standards for cost control, quality and safety control while maintaining excellent service quality and high occupancy.

Essential functions: Work closely with the DVPO to identify company goals and objectives and hold community leadership teams responsible for the implementation and goal setting of strategic plan of the company.

Strategize and plan for short
– and long-term operation goals that support company culture and overall business strategy.

Evaluate, train, and advise community leadership teams on the impact of short
– and long-term planning, introduction of new programs and strategies and regulatory interaction.

Monitor each community, communicate, and interpret policies, evaluate performance, provide feedback, and assist, coach, and discipline staff as necessary.

Ensures that Community Leaders have the resources and tools necessary to meet their performance goals.

Motivates and inspires his/her team to achieve optimal performance.

Conducts operational audits to ensure compliance with established quality and productivity standards, as well as company policy and procedures.

Collaborates with appropriate corporate staff to ensure the needs of the communities are being met.

Ensures compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents rights.

Minimum eligibility requirements: Bachelor degree 5 years as an administrator or leader in a multi-unit medical provider.

Experience with financial reporting and managing multiple budgets Pass criminal background check.

Meet all health requirements.

Have valid drivers license.

Computer literacy.

Additionally, applicants must: Be able to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, community officials, State hospitals and general public.

Working conditions (travel, hours, environment): Able to work full-time, with some weekend work.

Availability by phone or pager 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Approximately 75
– 80% travel is required.

Is subject to frequent interruptions.

Is involved with resident, personnel, and visitors under all conditions and circumstances.

Is subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, staff and visitors.

Communicates with medical staff, nursing personnel and other department supervisors and staff.

Works beyond normal working hours, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary.

Is subject to callback during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.).
