DutiesAs the Regional Director of a DCSA region, you will:Provide consistent communication and messaging across the region of DCSA’s critically important national security missions.Advise the Assistant Director, Field Operations on impacts of operational risk and the accomplishment of multiple missions within an assigned geographic region and subordinate field offices across several states performing complex Counterintelligence (CI), Background Investigation (BI) and the Industrial Security (IS) mission.Provide expert management support to the field workforce supporting the CI, BI, and IS missions.Manage administrative and logistics/supply functions within the region.Work to identify and advocate for the necessary resourcing to enable the region to run efficiently and effectively.Implement information sharing processes and procedures across missions in the region and coordinate implementation efforts with other Regional Directors with a goal of informing a comprehensive risk management approach.Oversee and manage Regional Support Staff, Regional Mission Directors, and their respective mission personnel.Maintain in-depth awareness of resource, logistical, and administrative needs required by the missions in the region and provides inputs to HQ to inform resource planning.Requirements Conditions of EmploymentMust be a U.S CitizenMales born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective ServiceResume and supporting documents received by 11:59 PM EST will be consideredThis is a Drug Testing designated positionPosition is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) Position in the Excepted Service under U.S.C 1601Work Schedule: Full TimeTour of Duty: FlexiblePermanent Change of Station (PCS): May be AuthorizedFair Labor Standard Act (FLSA): ExemptFinancial Disclosure: OGE-278e, Executive Personnel Financial Disclosure, is required.Telework Eligibility: This position is telework eligible, but is not a full time telework position. QualificationsMANDATORY TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS: All applicants must submit written statements (narrative format) of accomplishments that would satisfy the technical qualifications. You must address each technical qualification separately. Please limit your written statements to two pages per technical qualification.1. A working knowledge of DCSA’s mission’s including Background investigations, Industrial Security, and Counterintelligence/Insider Threat.2. Expert knowledge of Defense security programs, current regulatory guidance, operational procedures as well as an expert understanding of the defense industrial base. Demonstrated experience building collaborative relationships with customers, industry representatives and other stakeholders.3. Demonstrated experience leading diverse teams and the integration of operations in the field and building a common operating picture. An external candidate, if selected, will be required to immediately apply for Joint Duty credit. Note: Employees without Joint Duty Credit may apply for the position and can be considered. If selected, a waiver would be required prior to final appointment.
