Regional Customer Director, Respiratory Biologics

The Regional Customer Director is part of the Customer Director team as well as the Respiratory Biologics brand and sales team.

This role works with multiple stakeholders/partners at Headquarters, including the Customer Director team, Brand team, Sales, Medical Affairs, and collaborates nationally as well as an area/region to identify and develop current/future External Scientific Experts (ESEs) Allergists/Pulmonologists for activities based on commercial value to drive greater engagement and advocacy as well as informs insights/brand strategy for the Respiratory Biologics Franchise.

This position reports directly into the Senior National Customer Director of Respiratory Biologics.

What you’ll do

External Scientific Expert engagement & Advocacy Development

Responsible for quality, breadth & depth of Allery & Pulmonology Commercial External Scientific Expert relationships at nation/region/area level.

Identification & development of future ESE/influencers (up and comers).

Further establish AZ as a leader in Respiratory at Regional/National congresses with our Respiratory Biologics products and drive awareness of unbranded campaigns for Life Cycle management (Nasal Polyps and future indications) and TSLP. 

Responsible for planning, leading and executing important large Regional congresses (Product Theaters/speaker programs, booths & ESE interactions) across the US by collaborating with Customer Director team and HCP side of the brand to determine best ROI meetings for product theaters and booths.

Facilitate strategic engagements with ESEs at Regional/National congresses with Brand and Executive leadership.

Utilize input from external scientific experts to help build market leadership, advocacy and commercial strategies, through appropriate tactics (Ad boards, Virtual Community, Expert Panels, Speaker programs, Product theaters, Symposiums and 1:1 engagements).

Strategic Partner

Successful Project leadership that brings value back to the Brands, AZ, ESEs & Customer Director team. 

Link, leverage and expand AZs partner relationships with ESEs, Allergy and Pulmonology Respiratory networks improving brand and disease state understanding.

Work with team to develop ESE Engagement plans for targeted customers.

Strategic consultant for Stakeholders
– collaborate and work in close partnership with internal partners/stakeholders: Sales, Brand Teams, Medical Affairs, Market Access & Global to ensure franchise has a market leadership presence with HCP and where we have ESE relationships in key accounts.

Identify & further develop additional top speakers for the HCP side of the brand and as well as Regional/national opportunities. 

Shares pertinent insights back to Customer Director Team, HCP side of the brands and other key stakeholders/partners.

Essential for the role

Bachelor’s Degree required

Previous experience in multiple functions (Sales, District Sales Manager, Brand Team, Market Access) and/or Medical Affairs. 

Clinical experience in Respiratory area/Respiratory Biologics

Previous experience building, implementing & executing project plans, programs and related activities.

10+ years’ work experience in pharmaceutical or biotech.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

This role requires someone who will be committed and flourish in a team environment and will work to foster and encourage a culture of collaboration with their team and team members. 

Proven track record of consistent achievement in assigned responsibilities, goals, objectives and any other relevant metrics.

Travel is required in this role (approx.

40-50%).

This role supports National brand initiatives and will be aligned to the West Region.

Preferable for an individual to live in one of the following cities/states and have close access to a major airport: Los Angeles and surrounding areas, Orange County, San Diego, San Francisco, Sacramento, Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Dallas, and Denver.

Relationships with Allergists/Pulmonologists in Respiratory space is strongly preferred
