Regional Account Manager (Southern CA)

We’re recruiting a Regional Account Manager (RAM) for our Southern California territory. The RAM will develop and execute an innovative account management plan and ensure execution of sales strategies meeting national goals as well as productivity and profitability of accounts. They will have a deep understanding of the field of play, strategic players, trends, opportunities, strengths, and challenges in accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Gain deep insight into specific market dynamics
  • Build strong business relationships with key decision makers in target markets
  • Gain insight into acute pain management thought process within key accounts
  • Identify specific processes to gain formulary approval for specific hospitals/systems
  • Create a clear road map for success within the key markets including established KOL relationships, identification of key decision makers within accounts, understand hospital access protocols, formulary process for specific accounts, current pain management protocols, Multimodal approach, ERAS protocol

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or related field and/or equivalent related experience
  • Minimum 7 years of successful sales and account management experience
  • Experience interfacing with high-level system executives, KOLs, KDMS, DOPs, hospital admins, hospital specialists (ex general surgeons, cardiologists, ED’s (emergency department) physicians, etc.) and building advocacy for appropriate product access and use
  • Experience with calling on health systems (integrated delivery networks)
  • Experience gaining new, branded product acceptance within health systems and IDNs and driving use through protocol and order set development
  • Worked with P&T committees, success with formulary approvals
  • Experience with a REMS (risk evaluation mitigation system) program
  • Experience selling within a longer sales cycle
  • Experience working with regional/state/local medical societies
  • Strongly preferred 8+ years in Pharma and/or Med Device
  • Previous Access/credentialing a plus

Work Requirements

  • The position requires up to 20% travel and is a field-based position
