Regional Account Manager

Summary

The position of Regional Account Manager (Los Angeles) is responsible to successfully drive profitable growth within LA regional accounts for Grass Valley North America; via existing account relationships and create and close new business development opportunities in the accounts.

This position reports to the Director Sales, West for GrassValley.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership for a defined set of sales targets aligned to the responsibilities of the role, taking accountability for meeting and exceeding these targets over a sustained period.
  • Responsible for driving revenue in regional accounts in the region; account business planning process and strategy development; development, implementation and execution of account action plan that delivers value; protection/growth of base business, penetration of new business and leveraging other GV products; improving customer loyalty.
  • Develop, manage and report sales pipeline. Accurately forecast sales opportunities on an ongoing basis
  • Assesses the strategic priorities for the customers in the medium and long term and identifies areas of common interest.
  • Identifies the various objectives and adapt strategies to fit the situation. Maintains focus on creating options for negotiable items while considering non-negotiable items. Always invests the effort to build a proposition that results in a win-win outcome.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends in the Account’s market environment to the Opportunities and Threats that this creates for the Account. Can interpret Account product development roadmap and acquisition strategy as part of their overall strategy.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years’ experience in the Broadcast, Media, or Entertainment industry preferred
  • Business relationships in the LA region with key Broadcast and Media and Entertainment companies
  • Self-motivator with a history of meeting and exceeding given sales targets
  • Experience in using standard business reporting tools and reporting on key metrics
  • Experience of successfully operating in a matrix environment and experience of working closely with cross-functional teams including Product Units, Marketing, Operations, and Finance.
  • Experience in managing accounts in a structured methodology including account plan reviews.
  • Influence & Persuasion skills. Uses credibility and relationships to gain support and access to organizational resources.
