Reedy Creek Energy Service Engineering Service Manager

This role is a Walt Disney World Cast Member serving as a front-line leader in the Reedy Creek Energy Services (RCES) organization. This Service Manager leads a team of skilled tradespersons responsible for the execution of the preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities for back-of-house Walt Disney World (WDW) facilities, distributed RCID mechanical utilities, the wastewater collection system, plant electrical systems and maintenance of WDW property drainage, signs and asphalt.

This role will report to Mgr-Utility/Facility and Property Services

You will:

Be responsible for the execution of the preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities at the back-of-house WDW facilities, distributed RCID mechanical utilities and wastewater collection systems, plant electrical systems and control systems.
Develops and fosters a workplace culture focused on Cast Member s safety and wellness.
Conduct orientations, safety training, and skills training in support of team training objectives. Execute team safety programs. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards. Conduct Accident Investigations. Ensure assigned Cast are in compliance with safety training and certification requirements. Ensure compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory standards and policies.
Direct daily work efforts of skilled utility and facility tradespersons. Approve shift changes, time off and benefit requests, and monitor accuracy of pay rates and timekeeping. Monitor compliance with work accommodations and restrictions. Ensure compliance with procedures for injury and illness treatment and reporting.
Develop and maintain maintenance requirements for all existing and new equipment within the maintenance responsibilities (Mechanical, Utilities, Plant Electrical, Instrumentation, HVAC, Refrigeration, Facilities, among others).
Revise/identify all equipment spare parts, tools, and other items needed to perform the maintenance work as required from the maintenance standpoint.
Evaluate equipment maintenance activities, intervals, and spare parts availability. Implement the necessary changes to the maintenance programs so the technical personnel effort produces the optimum equipment reliability.
Plan and coordinate equipment maintenance shutdowns, including budgeting, activities and utilization of human resources, technical resources, and scheduling.
Call in, issue work to contractors/vendors as appropriate, and supervise. Monitor contractor/vendor performance and make recommendations for improvement.
Provide input into developing the Facility and Utility annual operating plan (AOP), capital planning, financial course corrections, and plans for achieving cost reductions, cost avoidance, and value generation. Meet or exceed budgetary and financial targets.

Basic Qualifications/You Have:

5+ years experience in utility engineering, operations or maintenance that has included a degree of budgetary responsibility.
Prior supervision in a unionized environment
Technical proficiency in several of the following areas: Utility Scale Piping Systems related to Central Energy Plant Distribution (chilled and hot water, compressed air), Waste Water Collection Systems, Electronic and PLC controls, Plant and Industrial Electric Systems (MCCs, ATS, and emergency generators)
Ability to work in a variety of environments, including field locations
Willingness to work extended hours to support outages or emergencies.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite products
Familiarity with an Enterprise Asset Management System

Prior experience working with Maximo

Required Education
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Related Technical Field or equivalent
