The Role You’ll Play
Are you an initiative-taking Quality Leader with a strong engineering background ready to help coach and lead a quality team for the Carlstar Group, a specialty tire manufacturer? As the Quality Manager in this large manufacturing plant, you will drive the quality system, lead continuous improvement efforts in the plant’s products and processes, and coach your team toward measurable quality results. Confident and able to train your team in the use of quality tools including APQP, FMEA, CP, 8D CAPA, SPC, DOE, Use of Minitab, Gage R&R, PPAP’s
Adept at structured problem-solving techniques and able to cultivate the ideas and insights of your team into actionable changes.

Background Profile
Required Skills & Experiences:
Bachelor’s degree required, engineering degree preferred.
Hard tools (Advanced quality planning tools – APQP)
ISO 9001:2015 standard management experience
Structured problem-solving toolset
A strategic approach coupled with tactical execution experience
Minimum 5 years of quality plant-based experience
Minimum 2 years of professional (salaried) supervisory responsibility
Results-oriented, proven track record of driving results and continuous improvement in an organization
Preferred Skills & Experiences:
Engineering discipline degree preferred
Experience with fiscal activities such as staffing levels, budgets, and financial goals
Practical knowledge of leading-edge lean/six sigma strategies
Certified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
Work through complex situations with competing priorities
Technical Skills & Experiences:
Advanced quality planning tools – PFMEA, Control plan, SPC, PPAP, GR&R, etc.
Problem-solving tools – 8D, 5-why
