QSR Multi Unit Manager

Job Purpose Summary
Responsible and accountable for overseeing a specified district of restaurants, supporting productive and profitable operations including employee development and documentation, financial responsibility, safety, security, and guest relations, following operations procedures, guidelines, and policies.

Essential Job Duties

· Visits assigned restaurant locations, ensuring company policies, procedures, and materials are being utilized effectively and according to company standards.

Travels to assigned restaurants in emergency cases as required by management.

· Conducts district meetings and attends restaurant meetings, assisting management in communication of company policy and procedures.

· Performs restaurant inspections, ensuring Team Members follow Company safety policies, use required safety equipment, by inspecting their store and its surroundings on a regular basis, according to Rubio’s policies and operational procedures.

· Oversees and ensures development of General Managers, Assistant Managers, and production employees.

· Oversees and assists in Controlling P&L, ensuring meeting or beating budget goals in accordance with company policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Prepares and manages contingency plans for potential business and operations change.

· Oversees, assists, manages, and tracks budget against projections following a yearly budget that is uses as a maximum limit, ensuring savings are consistently achieved.

Frequently analyzes financial results, making necessary adjustments in accordance with operational guidelines.

· Oversees procedures to ensure cash is managed properly in accordance with company procedures and guidelines.

· Oversees sales and marketing opportunities following Company procedures, policies, and guidelines.

· Interviews, hires, evaluates, promotes, and terminates members of their Management Team.

Oversees, directs, and coaches Team Members in the adherence to Company policies, procedures, and practices.

· Communicates, evaluates, and documents Management Team Members’ performance including the preparation and presentation of performance reviews, pay administration, and disciplinary action, including terminations.

· Mediates Management Team Member conflicts and complaints.

· Manages Team performance during store operations including setup, food preparation and cleaning before opening, during the shift and at closing.

Controls and manages turnover by ensuring Management Team Member satisfaction.

· Oversees and completes periodic operational paperwork as prescribed by management.

Non-Essential Job Duties

May perform any and all duties of all positions on a training basis and/or on a relief basis only.

Job Qualifications

Education: High School degree (BA preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: Minimum of three years multi-unit restaurant experience or equivalent

Knowledge: Working knowledge of all management aspects in the restaurant industry.

Language Skills: Ability to communicate in English, both orally and written, clearly communicating operational concerns with management and co-workers.

Ability to create, review, punctuate, and proof complex narratives and reports, memos, speeches, and written messages.

Math Skills: Overall skills and knowledge of basic mathematical principles and practices.

Ability to perform basic computations, interpreting financial documents pertaining to company, department, and restaurant operations.

Computer Skills: Basic skills and knowledge of computers.

Computer literate in Microsoft Office and specific software applications utilized by the company that are applicable to the position including Excel and Word.

Other: A valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance required.

Individual must have reliable transportation and be able to accept assignments anywhere in the region.

Other Abilities: Ability to coach, teach and inspire others.

Requires working closely with co-workers for long periods of time.

Ability to provide organization leadership and foster a team environment.

Ability to handle multiple priorities.

Requires high-level of concentration and attention to detail for extended periods of time to attend to store operations.

Reporting Relationships

Reports to the Regional Director.

Major Business/Professional Contacts

District Managers, Regional Directors, guests, General Managers, store Team Members and regular contact with the Restaurant Support Staff.

It is necessary for this person to conduct these relationships with professionalism and cooperation for the betterment of the Company.

The District General Manager plays a key role in influencing store operations.

The District General Manager is required to follow appropriate procedures with respect to all communications (District Manager, Regional Director, COO and Human Resources.) It is necessary to conduct these relationships in a manner that will enhance the best interests of the company.

The District Manager will regularly make suggestions to the Restaurant Support center Staff Members regarding improvements relating to restaurant operations.

Working and Environmental Conditions

Works indoors most of the time.

Constant exposure to fumes from restaurant and food preparation equipment and cleaning solvents.

Constant temperature fluctuation due to movement from one cook area to another.

Some noise and vibration exposure.

Travels from restaurant to restaurant as needed.

Significant travel by auto required.

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift 30 lbs.

Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Performs fine hand manipulation during food preparation and cleaning.

Flexible hours, night and day, weekends and holidays.

Ability to operate all related restaurant tools and equipment.

Tools and Equipment Used

Telephone, calculator, fax machine, cash register, walk-in and reach-in refrigerators, soda, coffee and tea machines, cleaning equipment (towels, brooms, dust pans, mops, etc.), cleaning solvents (bleach, cleanser, oven cleaner, etc.), kitchen equipment and utensils.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00
– $95,000.00 per year
