Provider Services Provider Services Manager

What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a  Provider Services Manager to oversee the management of the Provider Services Department; ensuring child care provider claims and agreements processing policies, procedures and controls are adhered to by all department staff.

The Manager will ensure that the department maintains compliance in accordance with funder regulations, including the California Department of Education (CDE) and Los Angeles Department of Social Services (DPSS), as well as meets agency compliance standards.

The Manager must also plan and implement strategies to address continuous improvements and must align department objectives with the agency mission and strategic plan.

The ideal candidate will have the following responsibilities:
Provide oversight and direction to the department leadership team who manages the processing of child care provider claims in compliance with contractual requirements, regulations, and agency policies and procedures.

Provide oversight and direction to department leadership who manages the timely execution of provider agreements while maintaining compliance with contractual requirements, regulations, agency policy and procedures.

Monitor work processes to identify duplicate or fraudulent submissions and recommend procedures to improve controls; also work with Fraud Unit to manage provider fraud activities.

Prepare budget to align with departmental goals and monitor to ensure spending is within approved budget.

Prepare management and Board reports documenting service, compliance and performance data for the department, as well as evaluation of department goals.

Communicate and educate employees on agency culture and lead by example.

Provide direction, leadership and coaching to staff members by conducting periodic staff meeting and frequent check-ins.

Select, hire well-qualified, talented staff that reflects labor market diversity.

Build strong teams that are technically competent and characterized by a high level of coordination and trust.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES YOU SHOULD POSSESS:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field.

Years of relevant, viable work experience, with increasing management responsibilities may be substituted for college level education.

Minimum 5 years related experience managing in human services, child development or related fields.

Experience managing a high volume child care subsidy program’s payment process is desired.

Must have experience managing government contracts, planning, implementing, and coordinating projects.

Must have excellent analytical, organizational and managerial skills and must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Strong expertise in the use of software programs, including spreadsheets and graphics.
