This role will focus on federal proposals.* Collaborates with regional and BL teams on identified priority pursuits, including partnering in the preparation of formal and informal client solicitations, including requests for qualifications (RFQ), requests for proposals (RFP), shortlist interviews, and pre-solicitation efforts.* Accountable for timely, compliant, accurate, and persuasive proposal development and leadership.* Reports to Marketing Director or Senior Manager.DutiesProposal Management and Development* Responsible for leading large, complex, priority must win pursuits from capture through to interview stage, as required and may include multiple disciplines/geographies.* Leads and contributes to the writing of proposal sections such as cover letters, executive summaries, past performance sections, management approaches, and resumes/staffing sections.* Participates actively in Go/No-Go, capture strategies and greenlight analyses and drives compliance with delegation of authority guidelines, capture planning and positioning activities, providing leadership and direction, where required.* Serve as a reviewer on color reviews (pink and red teams) for priority pursuits, applying in-depth institutional knowledge. Analyzes debriefs and applies lessons learned to add value to strategy and reviews.* Supports debriefs and gathering of client feedback on proposals to ensure and demonstrate continuous improvements.* May serve as marketing lead or subject matter expert for specific client/portfolio or sector* Support marketing communications team to provide content development for the website, brochures, and other digital media and thought leadership in collaboration with Client Account Managers (CAMs) or Market Sector Leaders* Leads special projects involving teams of BL or multiple BLs staff* May supervise 1-3 staff or serve as an active mentor to marketing coordinator/specialist(s).* May contribute to developing or presenting internal trainingMinimum Requirements* BA/BS, preferably in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing or a related field + 8 years of related marketing experience.Preferred Qualifications* Prefer 15 + years of experience in effective proposal and presentation best practices and tools, including how to convey messages, themes, discriminators, and responses to evaluation criteria clearly and effectively.* Experience working on federal proposals.* APMP/SMPS certification.* Working knowledge of and interest in the A/E industry, including AECOM’s clients, projects, people, credentials, and competitors.* Evidence of successful leadership of multi-disciplinary or multi-geography proposals valued>$20 million.* Demonstrated experience applying industry best practices and procedures to support positioning, client or business development processes.* Strong proposal writing and editing skills; working knowledge of grammar and style.* A strong working knowledge of desktop publishing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite), graphics programs (e.g., InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop), word processing programs (e.g., Microsoft Word), spreadsheet management (Excel), and presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint).* A working knowledge of collaborative tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, etc.* An understanding of CRM. Salesforce experience is a plus.* Initiative, skill, and personal commitment to manage multiple projects and details concurrently, follow up, and bring tasks and projects to full completion.* Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skillsAdditional Information:* Company Sponsorship to work in the country is not available for this position.* Company Relocation is not available for this position.* Limited travel to meet training and project requirements may be required, provided safe to do so.* AECOM encourages but does not require, its employees to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.
