Project Manager (Northern California – floating)

This position requires regular travel between Northern California and Los Angeles. Not every day but at least a couple of times a month.
As a Project Manager you will be primarily responsible for providing construction project management on projects in various stages of development, to include the development and execution of project plans and schedules, ensuring the highest safety and quality standards.
Job Details:

  • Ensuring that projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, drawings, and applicable building codes, and that quality standards are maintained
  • Developing and maintaining the construction schedule in conjunction with project team to meet milestones and completion dates
  • Leading and/or representing the Company at project meetings with internal and external stakeholders to monitor and support the project’s ongoing progression
  • Providing strong leadership to construction team members, capitalizing on individual and group strengths to ensure project targets are achieved
  • Managing the financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect the Company’s interests and simultaneously maintain relationships with the Company’s clients
  • Identifying and managing opportunities and risks to achieve the best possible impact on schedule and financial targets
  • Actively seeking to identify and implement all value engineering and cost saving opportunities as approved by the Owner of the Company
  • Maintaining, tracking, and reporting all financial aspects of project including forecasts and billings
  • Managing the procurement process including subcontractor / trade / supplier negotiations and awards contracts up to $25,000 if on or under budget
  • Planning, organizing, and recommending staffing of key field positions
  • Demonstrating leadership in health, safety, and environmental protection on the project
  • Applying the Company standards, applicable OSHA acts, regulations and codes with all employees and subcontractors on the project
  • Requirements:
    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management and 5 years of progressive construction industry experience, including at least 3 years of supervisory experience
