Project Manager – Manufacturing

I have a client located in Canton, GA that has an immediate need for a Manufacturing Engineer/Project Manager.

Requirements: Minimum 3 years’ experience (5 years preferred) Ability to read CAD drawings Experience in manufacturing, fabricating, and/or tooling parts Responsibility: Project Planning: Ability to make a feasible plan that achieves the goals and objectives of the project and aligns with the company’ s overall business strategy.

Has knowledge of all various manufacturing methods and is able to choose the technique that delivers the best value proposition for the company.

Can define the project’ s scope and determine what resources are required, timeline estimations, financial budget commitment, as well as how to monitor and report on the project’ s progress while meeting or exceeding the customers quality and delivery expectations.

Ability to create, harmonize and track compliance of various project schedules with internal and external requirements, including interface activities with buyers, suppliers, contracts, inventory, quality, engineering and manufacturing.

Coordinates and tracks to ensure major Supplier deliverables are available on schedule for manufacturing.

Operations / Quality: Assist in the development and maintains integrated plans with the operations, engineering and quality teams.

Ability to write work instructions, read technical data, interpret and communicate to team members working on the project.

Project Review and Documentation Duties: PM reviews the contract to ensure there are no technical issues with PO PM reviews the quote details from when the project was estimated Submits purchase req’ s for any long lead materials in advance of full planning Reads over drawings, specs, SOWs, or any other tech data to develop bill of materials and method of manufacture Submits full project planning for approval Once approved, job is released to production PM coordinates with Planning, Production, Quality, Purchasing and Inventory from cradle to grave during project to ensure schedules, budgets, and other company metrics are met.

Also responsible for troubleshooting alongside production when issues arise.

Pay: $26-31.25/hr (Flexibility depending on experience) This is a temp to permanent position.
