BASIC FUNCTION : Develops and manages all aspects relating to the department’s responsibilities for large projects and/or functional area.
Lead role in large and/or major projects serving as the Project Manager in coordinating and developing plans.
Acts as the primary interface in all aspects of the functional area or large project during the Requirements and/or Rollout and Implementation phase of the PLC.
Maintains a high and comprehensive level of expertise in all pertinent product and/or functional areas, including operations, usage, client/product requirements and standards.
Interacts with others both within the department and outside the department in a highly professional manner, coordinating and organizing activities, policies, plans and directions pertaining to regional usage, functional area or implementation.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES : 1.
Coordinates and directs activities of a functional area and/or large projects from the requirements phase to pilot/implementation and rollout phases which affects the usage and/or implementation of a product.
2.
Assumes the lead role in development and implementation of policies, standards and procedures in business operations functions for projects which impact regional business operations.
3.
Develops and coordinates Standards, procedures, functionality and implementation that directly affect production and delivery of products to over 200,000 clients, over 600 million pay documents per year.
4.
Develops project plans, tracks project status, and updates plans accordingly.
Communicates issues, risks, and status to all levels of the organization in Roseland and the Field.
5.
Facilitates inter-departmental meetings to communicate project status while proactively identifying issues and risks for the delivery of a product or system.
6.
Maintains comprehensive knowledge of applicable products, regional operating systems, and procedures by participating in focus groups, product committees, and business conferences with regional associates.
This may include being the point person when working directly with vendors.
7.
Assists Supervisor with recruiting and development of project team including interviewing, assistance with development plans and input to performance appraisals.
8.
Serves as a liaison or Champion between regional functional areas and the IT organizations to establish standards, best practices, policies and procedures, and client communications.
9.
Builds consensus among project team members.
10.
Assists supervisor with budget and financial responsibilities related to projects.
11.
Negotiates with regional and IT associates to accomplish best solutions for regional or client systems/products.
12.
Coordinates and plan kick-off meetings and Management overviews with regional associates.
13.
Establishes pilot and rollout success criteria including responsibility for results of implementation surveys.
Monitors results of project pilots and rollouts to determine if all success criteria have been met.
QUALIFICATIONS : 1.
Education: Bachelors Degree required or equivalent education and experience.
Advanced degree preferred.
2.
Experience: 10 15 years’ ADP regional or general business experience.
Must have strong to expert level working knowledge of all functional areas in the regions and possess a detailed understanding of service and/or operations workflow methods and procedures, systems or business management.
Must have shown successful project management experience managing projects of varying complexities.
Preference will be given to candidates who have the below : Communication skills Must possess above average presentation and platform skills to communicate to all levels of the organization.
Effective written skills required as well.
Analytical Skills Must possess good issue identification and problem solving skills to asses risk and reward of project.
PC Literacy Must possess above average understanding of project management software tools such as MS-Project, MS-Excel and other related applications.
