Job Description:
Roles and Responsibilities: Assisting the Product Owner LPL and ISD LPL, this position will be responsible for working with the greater Honda team to facilitate the transformation towards developing and launching an over-arching enterprise-wide app and related projects.
Additionally, this role will focus on improving the digital processes in key areas related to the consumer-facing and mobile app, optimizing each step in the customer journey (technology and organization) and data management and analysis.
Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies for the Business and IT community to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations in an Agile/Scrum environment
Responsible for assembling project plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, identifying resource needs, performing quality reviews; and escalating functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately
Responsible for tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources
Coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk and resources of the work effort being managed
Manages one or more cross functional projects of high complexity
Responsible for the management of one or more medium to large sized, moderately to highly complex projectsThe right candidate will exhibit excellent communication and organizational skills, the ability to build strong relationships in the office, and with our cross-functional teams.Daily Tasks: (Planning) Define project plan, objective and milestone, Gain agreement from the customer, Oversee development of a plan to meet the objective, Assess risks and develop contingency plans
(Organizing) As the Scrum Master in an Agile/Scrum environment, manage project resources to perform work, Schedule onshore/offshore meetings, Coordinate vendors, Develop and deliver key documents, Maintain documents associated with project in an organized manner
(Managing) Monitor progress, manage a change control process, Develop corrective actions, Communicate with sponsors and stakeholders, Transition.
(Costing) Conduct Budgeting, Forecasting, Variance Analysis, Resource Allocation
(Reporting) Create Presentations for stakeholders and Requested Monthly / Weekly / Daily reports
Reporting: Provide Presentations for stakeholders, Monthly / Weekly / Daily reports
Required Skills: Project Management, Agile/Scrum certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum preferred.
Advanced ability to oversee/manage large, complex, diverse, strategic projects impacting the organization as a whole
Advanced understanding and ability to manage complex program and project budgets
Advanced ability in implementing program and project plans, monitoring progress, resource usage and quality
Advanced knowledge in conducting risk assessments and developing plans for eliminating or mitigating identified risks
Advanced understanding of multiple project management disciplinesDesired Skills: Seasoned veteran having strong experience with Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies and deliverables (Experience with SAFe Scaled Agile Frame is a plus.)
2 years experience in the Automotive industry or in Telematics
Hands-on knowledge of custom Internet application and mobility development, information architecture, user experience, and services-based architecture
Creative, self-driven, highly collaborative
Experience working with a managed services partner for delivery
Experience working in a highly matrixed environment with multiple cross-organizational teams
Excellent internal and client-facing communication skills
Experience conducting C-level presentations
Strong knowledge of the Microsoft office suite of products, including MS Project
Strong experience with JIRA and and working knowledge of Confluence
Multiple successful end-to-end deliveries from Scope through Implementation/Warranty, including maintenance
Experience working in a dynamic, highly fluid, technically challenging environmentPosition Factors (i.e.
multi-plant assignment, work environment):
Work environment is likely a mix of virtual and, when appropriate, in person at the Torrance office.
Mix may change depending on COVID conditions.
