We are hiring experienced self-motivated Project Managers. The successful candidate will work directly with clients to ensure deliverables fall within scope and budget; coordinate with other departments internally to ensure all aspects of the project are addressed timely.

As a Project Manager you are a member of the Project Management team serving both internal and external customer through the successful completion of assigned territory projects.  Your responsibility is to plan, budget, oversee and document all project aspects.

Job Responsibilities:

Communication

  • Manage effective communication with customers and sales representatives for assigned territories
  • Manage day-to-day interaction with internal customers as required to keep project moving forward
  • Facilitate meetings between external clients and internal team members effectively
  • Problem solve issues in a timely manner to meet customer demands
  • Communicate difficult/sensitive information to clients tactfully
  • Develop long lasting relationships with clients that foster business stability and growth

Processing

  • Set and manage client expectations
  • Develop comprehensive project schedules to be shared with clients and other staff members
  • Facilitate project design intent meetings
  • Develop a detailed, granular project schedule, in which all project milestone will be tracked to allow for on-time delivery
  • Obtain project finish and shop drawing approvals to meet project schedule
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current and filed appropriately
  • Ensure all shipping and tracking information is complete and accessible to close out the project
  • Create “ERP” shippers as required for all line items for invoicing
  • Update smartsheet backlog daily to be sure all dates are always accurate

Engineering

  • Interface with engineering leads to ensure schedules are accurate
  • Work with assigned engineer to ensure successful design output as approved by the client
  • Review project engineering submittal drawings and fabrications drawings per project

Financial

  • Meet budgetary objectives
  • Manage all contract documents
  • Minimizes Company’s financial exposure and risk on projects
  • Escalate financially concerns/issues to upper management timely
  • Generate change orders and obtain customer approval
  • Assist with obtaining customer deposits
  • Follow up with clients when necessary regarding unpaid invoices

On-Site Coordinator

  • Occasional job site travel required – act as on-site coordinator to trouble shoot or support project installation

Job Requirements:
Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Detail oriented, organized and ability to multitasks/prioritize on various projects
  • Must be a team player
  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management or similar program required
  • Minimum of 4 years of construction or manufacturing industry experience
  • Ability to read construction drawings preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, etc.) and SmartSheet
