Project Manager – MPP1

The primary purpose of the Project Manager role is to improve the success rate of projects by applying project management principals, methods, tools and standards. Looking for the right candidate to lead development of project, resource, and staffing plans, secure required resources, track and report on progress, troubleshoot issues and ensure project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule, cost and regulatory requirements. Can you take a project from licensing to engineering to construction to closeout?

Scope

Candidate will work in tandem with another Project Manager to focus ensuring RFI’s and PREQ’s, CO’s, and materials are ready for projects that will continue to execute in 2022.

Manages the activities of one or more moderate, short to midterm project(s) with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods and outcomes.

Projects managed typically have own OU impact. Accomplishes results through matrixed teams consisting primarily of professionals, and/or vendors who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.

Determines methods and procedures on new projects. Exercises considerable latitude and judgement in developing plans, budgets, and resources, directing activities and actions, and determining deliverables.

Interacts regularly with all levels of management. Acts as a key consultant to management for both functional and business issues.

Accountability

Direct involvement in tasks necessary for successful project execution. Identifies problems and solutions. Collaborates to establish project objectives, timelines, risk analysis, milestones, deliverables and budgets.

Working relationships

Resolves issues and ensures task completion by establishing priorities and resolving conflicts with team members and functional managers. Escalates complex issues to management for resolution. Evaluates, analyzes and explains facts, practices and policies to internal or external contacts where there may be resistance to cooperate or participate

Decision Making

Critical project decisions are generally made after consultation with all levels of management. Exercises broad judgement and discretion in determining methods, processes, activities, and courses of action which have a significant impact on project success.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor Degree in applicable profession, business, or technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Work Experiences (Years): * Typically possesses seven or more years of project management experience. Project Management certification preferred.

This would be a long-term assignment (9 month-1 year minimum). Currently position is remote, but this may change in the future. The office is located in Pomona.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $62,196.00 – $142,475.00 per year
