The Sauce:
This is an opportunity to join a green-technology start-up company that is on the cusp of meteoric growth (100x). They have been around for almost 20 years, have a process that has proven to be economically viable, have customers lined up for their product, and who are just about to start a project to build a full-scale manufacturing facility in the United States (FEL-0 is completed, starting FEL-1 now). They are looking for someone to guide that project from beginning to end, from selection of the property that this site will be built on, through preliminary design and scoping/costing, on towards final design, construction, commissioning and start-up. The project is projected for completion in 2024.
Minimum Requirements:
* B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering preferred, will consider other closely related degrees advanced degree is preferred.
* 20+ years of overall project experience out of polymers (polyethylene/polypropylene, elastomers), large-scale fermentation, or something very closely related
* Must have previously directed mega projects, north of $200MM
* An ideal candidate would have experience scaling-up a process/technology as part of the project say 100KT to 300KT if we are talking about polymers must know about process scale-up and how that impacts project management
* A major plus would be previous experience with managing a greenfield or brownfield facility build project.
* Varied experience in project execution in different modes (LSTK, EPCM, cost+fee, OBE etc).
* Must possess superior leadership, communication and organization skills.
* PMP Certification, PE License ideal
*This is a start-up company and as such, this opportunity comes with acknowledged risks. Additionally, this company cannot offer some of the perks that you will get with a well-established company. If those things are a major factor in your consideration of this role, this particular role may not be for you.
