Duties and Responsibilities

First Republic Bank is in the process of transforming its Procurement processes, including the introduction of a cloud-based P2P platform, and is seeking a Program Manager to lead implementation efforts and take ownership of multiple programs.

The successful candidate will play a major role in development of process transformation and change management to provide the company streamlined and efficient P2P processes.

An in-depth understanding of procurement operations and business challenges coupled with the ability to translate them into solutions is critical.

This role will work closely with senior Procurement and Finance management in establishing priorities and delivering successful procurement results.
 
What you’ll be doing as a Program Manager
– Procurement Governance:

– Identify, define, and lead the delivery of multiple ground-breaking procurement initiatives focused on process and operational improvements, collaborating across the global procurement organization and with other departments, including Finance, Tax, IT, HR, and Legal.

– Seek opportunities that make our systems and processes more efficient and scalable, designing solutions that deliver the highest level of quality to First Republic Bank.

– Assess and implement cutting edge technology and automation to add efficiency to our end-to-end processes.

– Experience with Coupa Source to Pay platforms, ServiceNow, Archer GRC Platform highly desirable.

– Define, measure, and track the success of process improvements

– Administer efficient data collection processes, tools and analytics for metrics development to report to partners and key decision makers, removing pain points and streamlining processes for rapid execution

– Socialization to all cross functional partners to increase awareness and drive proactive action on compliance and sustainability strategies

– Assist with development and periodic revision of P2P-related training materials

– Perform duties & responsibilities specific to department functions & activities.

– Performs other duties & responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor.

– Responsibilities include the following: 1) adhering to and complying with the applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-money laundering (i.e.

Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.) 2) adhering to Bank policies and procedures, 3) completing required training, 4) identifying and reporting suspicious activity to the AML Officer, and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank. 

Qualifications

Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in a related discipline.

MBA, other advanced degrees, or applicable professional certifications preferred

– Lead or played a significant role in implementing a P2P transformation 

– 7+ years related experience, preferably in a Purchasing-oriented role within a financial services company

– Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Interpersonal, analytical, presentation, influencing and negotiation skills required.

Must possess the ability to multi-task and organize effectively

– In-depth knowledge of and experience working with cloud-based Procure-to-Pay systems and related technologies.

Knowledge of Oracle accounting systems, UltiPro HR system, and ServiceNow software a plus

– Possess subject matter expertise to drive the design and application of business process and system design and implementation

– Solid understanding of internal financial controls and SOX compliance

– Ability to quickly develop knowledge of all Bank procurement systems, processes and critical data elements, and standards

– Communicate and collaborate effectively across different organizational levels, functions, businesses, and geographies

– Ability to assess functional and technical gaps in process design

 
Mental/Physical Requirements:

– The ability to learn and comprehend basic instructions; understand the meanings of words and respond effectively; and perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly.

– Vision must be sufficient to read data reports, manuals and computer screens.

– Hearing must be sufficient to understand a conversation at a normal volume, including telephone calls and in person.

– Speech must be coherent to clearly convey or exchange information, including the giving and receiving of assignments and/or directions.

– Position involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.

Must be able to travel in a limited capacity.
