The Media Content Operations team enables integrations with media industry supply chains and the Facebook suite of products and apps, and provides technical support for the content.
Our Broadcast Operations team is responsible for high touch audio-visual support on top tier Live broadcasts.
We are seeking an individual who is passionate about Facebooks products and our mission, and is relentless in finding smarter, better, faster ways of getting things done.
The core responsibilities of this role involve distributing technical support for Live broadcasts across the Facebook family of apps.
This person will work with internal stakeholders including Partnerships, Production, Product, and Engineering to ensure Live broadcast operations support for Live broadcast partners.
This is a full-time position.
Program Manager, Broadcast Operations Responsibilities
- Develop a deep expertise of Facebook’s Live platform of products and how they are being used across constituent groups
- Operationalize Live broadcast support components, including testing and scale for complex Live infrastructure and products
- Serve as a key point of contact for internal/external partner onboarding and event-day support preparation
- Onboard partners to Live products, communicating best practices, answering real-time questions, identifying solutions, and communicating thoroughly to relevant stakeholders
- Interface with peers, leadership, and scaled workforce team to ensure events are monitored with efficiency and accuracy
- Establish and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships with key stakeholders, including Partnerships, Product, Engineering, and internal Ops team
- Set expectations with all stakeholders and drive communication throughout the process, outlining key deadlines and interdependencies, clarifying business requirements and managing team and cross functional expectations
- Manage key projects independently from initiation through completion
- Define the scope, timelines and resources needed to meet the project objectives
- Create and iterate on scaled processes for Live-monitoring, including training, process improvement, quality assurance, and other internal team and scaled workforce support
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a project/program management, management consulting, operations or similar strategic space
- Experience at a studio, media company, in post-production, social media, and/or at a video platform
- Communication skills including experience speaking to both technical and business audiences
- Experience managing multiple priorities simultaneously and exhibit a thorough understanding of automated technology and traditional broadcast technology
- Help build best-in-class program management capabilities to drive balanced performance & operational excellence across the org
- ‘Systems thinker’ with experience connecting people, data, process and product
- Experience in leveraging data to build & deliver leadership presentations
- Experience in conducting analyses, identifying insights and communicating results to inform business decisions
- Surface project opportunities for future roadmaps and influence leadership to gain buy-in/support
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in video content operations, broadcast operations, entertainment/related industries
- High inter-personal and communication skills.
Experience flexing communications style, advanced in influencing skills to drive the best impact for the company, while growing and maintaining strong healthy work relationships
- Experience moving fast, maintain focus on the program when under pressure, control scope and very comfortable when frequently encountered by ambiguity and uncertainty
- Results driven, high-achiever, resourceful and proactive in chasing progress, resolving problems and effective in conflict resolution
- Experience in customer satisfaction in partner support or process implementation within production field
