nn The Wild Beauty Foundation is a new organization founded by filmmakers Ashley Avis and Edward Winters (Disney’s Black Beauty) dedicated to raising awareness for wild and domestic horses through entertainment, film, educational programs for children, and rescues of horses in need.
nn nn n nn nnWBF is fiscally sponsored under the nonprofit 501c3 Players Philanthropy Fund while we obtain our own independent 501c3 status.nn nn n nn nnWe are currently a brand new, very small, family run organization –
– and need to bring on a passionate Program Director who can help us grow.
This position ideally would eventually become full time, and we are hoping to find someone who wishes to work with WBF long term.
nn nn n nn nnOur main programs will include educational events for children (e.g.
“Wild Horse Week,” where kids learn about how horses helped build our world, and can teach valuable lessons like empathy and compassion).
We will be bringing Ambassador Horses to places like hospitals.
We will also be filming a documentary, short form video series, PSAs, and launching a virtual celebrity speaker series.
nn nn n nn nnProgram Director will work to partner with schools in a variety of ways for these programs, put together educational materials / work with teachers and equine specialists, as well as seek out sponsorship / branding opportunities, donors, and manage a small volunteer team.
nn nn n nn nnAll of these efforts are to help raise awareness for wild and domestic horses through our unique film and television platform, and to teach children the timeless lessons horses can imbue.nn nn n nn nnIdeally the person we are seeking has a very multifaceted skill set, including some of the following below.nn nn n nn nn-

– Professional nonprofit experience.nn nn-
– Fundraising experience.nn nn-
– Public relations experience a plus.nn nn-
– Strong, creative writer who can put together original materials / graphics, as well as work with educators and equine professionals.nn nn-

– Experience with Facebook live / live streaming a plus.nn nn-
– Experience with CRM and helping organize mailing lists.nn nn-
– Seek out sponsorship opportunities with brands.nn nn-
– Will bring on and maintain a group of volunteers and interns.nn nn-
– Web design, graphics, design experience a plus.nn nn-
– Equine background / equine experience a plus.nn nn n nn nn We are looking to bring someone on ideally by April 1st, who will work directly with Ashley and Ed on a part time basis.
