This position plans, develops, coordinates and supervises the Special Treatment Program and Day Treatment Intensive Program and other therapeutic activity programs which meet the needs and interests of each resident in the facility.
SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 1.
Two years direct service experience treating the mentally ill, preferably adolescents.
2.
One-year activity program supervision with employee management experience required.
3.
Bachelor’s degree in occupational, therapeutic recreation, art, music or drama therapy required.
4.
Master’s degree in occupational, therapeutic recreation, art, music or drama therapy preferred.
5.
Registration or certification in appropriate discipline.
6.
Valid (state) Driver’s license.
7.
Valid (state) Class “B” Driver’s License or ability to be licensed within three months of employment.
