Job Description The Production Supervisor is responsible for the overall operations of the company, including employees of the shipping and cutting department by establishing the strategic direction and managing activities and projects in accordance with company strategy, goals, and objectives.
Production Manager shall represent Aero-Vac Alloys & Forge in a professional, respectful, and courteous manner, with an importance of ethical behavior, honesty, and integrity.
Competencies Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to comprehend and apply reasoning ability, review and understand technical data within the provisions of the job scope, provide clear and precise written and oral communication, demonstrate knowledge and understanding of AVAF processes and procedures, ability to perform basic math calculations such as addition, subtraction, division and compute rate, ratios, and percentages.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
·Full support, and compliance to the company’s ISO 9001 / AS 9100 Quality Management System.
· Continually improve safety record by addressing both physical safety issues, and employee safety attitudes.
Promote safety first in the workplace.
· Responsible to ensure that operations for the shipping, receiving, and cutting departments are running efficiently.
· Maintain records of down time and employee behavior that is not beneficial in maintaining shipment goals.
· Implement strategies and action plans to ensure that the facility supports customers’ needs for on time delivery.
· Ensure vendors provide on time delivery of goods by email, calling and following up for status updates.
· Inform our customers of delayed or problematic orders.
· Initiate plans and processes which track travelers for accuracy and commitment dates.
· Manage spending against budgets and in relation to changes in production volume.
· Maintain a close relationship with Quality to ensure material certifications meet customer requirements.
· Generate and track bill of ladings for both inbound and outbound shipments.
Also, to include blind shipments and drop shipments.
· Verify packaged material against original order and traveler.
· Pull stock and verify all stock pulled is reported to production.
· Maintain material remnant inventory accountability, and ensure all remnant are marked in accordance with Identification and Traceability procedures.
· Additional duties may be assigned.
Additional Skills
· Shall have at least 2 years’ experience in operations management.
· Solid knowledge in warehouse management.
· Knowledge / Performance in Lean Manufacturing / Distribution.
· Advanced English.

· Experience with management system tools (Quality, Environment, Safety)
· Computer literacy (Outlook, Word, Excel)
