Production Supervisor

Reports to: Manager, Production

Position Overview: The Supervisor, Production is responsible and accountable for the production of MIP Products and all aspects of the tracking and quality control management. Ensures the safe, accurate and timely production of products. Coordinates with production schedules and Cure/Vault regarding product inventory and availability. The Supervisor journals, monitors and tracks all observations in the company’s software seed to sale tracking system.

Major Areas of Responsibility include:

  • Establishes and reinforces established Policies & Procedures for the daily operations and fully comply with state medical marijuana regulations.
  • Provides guidance to personnel in working in a highly regulated cGMP certified manufacturing environment.
  • Has a thorough understanding of cGMP regulations and the ability to execute and maintain compliance protocols.
  • Maintains extraction/infusion operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing operational policies and procedures.
  • Works closely with production team on all elements of the extraction and infusion process.
  • Provides consistent oversight of extraction procedures, ensuring standardized requirements and accuracy.
  • Masters various techniques for marijuana extraction and infusion, including butane extraction.
  • Develops expertise in subcritical, supercritical and ethanol extraction methods as well as the purification, separation and isolation of various compounds of cannabis.
  • Provides leadership to staff, ensuring counts are accurate and staff are performing in the most efficient manner possible.
  • Ensures consistency in the production of compounding materials and provision for product generation.
  • Provides supervision and leadership to the regarding precise formulation and compounding, production schedules and associated testing.
  • Responsible for inventory, recordkeeping and quality of product at all times, maintaining inventory via seed to sale tracking.

• Responsible for accurately weighing and recording all product weights. • Works in a timely manner and strives to improve quality and maintain accuracy.

  • Makes sure that all products are packaged, counted, sorted and labeled accurately.
  • Demonstrates leadership behaviors and serves as an example to others at all times.
  • Manages day to day issues as they arise, requesting assistance as needed.
  • Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities):

  • All applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Associate’s Degree in Chemistry, Manufacturing, or Business Administration or 1-3 years of experience in related position with an emphasis in an operations production/manufacturing environment.
  • Experience must include hands-on responsibility for the full scope production activities, both operations and analysis.
  • Experience in various cannabis extraction methods preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally at all times, leading by example.
  • Manage a controlled workflow in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passionate about the importance of medical marijuana.
  • Tracking and logging of all extraction inputs and finished extraction products

. • Meeting planned daily production requirements and understands how to maintain JIT cycling inventory production goals.

  • Clean work areas and maintain tools in accordance with sanitation standards.

• The job requires physical activity, including prolonged standing, repetitive bending, climbing, and lifting or moving up to 10 pounds (or more with a coworker). Good visual acuity, hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and ability to perform repetitive motions with accuracy is required. Pay Range: $22-$24 an hour

Shift: 4pm-12am
