Production Floor Supervisor

We are looking for Production Floor Supervisor to work in the Van Nuys area, CA for a Manufacturer of Food Seasonings

     • Looking for a self motivated, energetic and outgoing person to join this production team as the Production Supervisor. 

  • Under the direction of the Director of Production, the Production Supervisor will lead and oversee all operational directives of the Production workers. Directives include planning and scheduling, overseeing and monitoring performance for the production floor, and cleaning staff members. The Production Supervisor ensures effective operations through providing work direction and logistical support. 
  • Ensures proper start up, shut down and cleaning of all production equipment/machinery.
  • Responsible for the planning and scheduling of daily production work.
  • Monitors employee productivity and provide constructive feedback, coaching, training, and evaluations
  • Ensure adherence to all quality control GMP’s and food safety compliance

  •  College Degree in related field
  • 5-7 years experience in food preparation environment
  • 4 years supervisory experience in a production line environment
  • 4 years experience in HACCP and GMP programs
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical and conveyor belt equipment
  • Able to and flexible to work overtime and weekends, holidays if needed
  • Experience with food safety compliance, GMP sanitation standards
  • bilingual in Spanish
  • good with excel , and word

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS: ***Must have College degree in related field or equivalent Ability to read, write and speak clear English Abide by required safety guidelines and procedures Ability to stand for up to 12-14 hours a day High attention to detail Able to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven team environment.

  • train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures 
  • Ensure the completion of the master Sanitization schedule
  • Assists in implementing and monitoring quality control, document control, food safety, product innovation, and sanitation procedures to assure regulatory and company compliance
  • Monitors all production lot tracking and usage data that is collected and reported daily
