Performing activities related to various aspects of security including, but not limited to vulnerability intelligence, threat hunting, application security testing, security architecture, adversarial intelligence, and others. The Product Security team at Cepheid ensures the security of our products and services and are the domain experts for our engineering teams to protect our customers’ data in today’s dynamic threat landscape. As Manager of Product Security, you will manage and develop a team of security engineers passionate about our entire product portfolio. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Work on a wide range of technologies and complex architectural and technical challenges. Participate in threat modeling, Penetration Testing activities. Mentor and collaborate with development teams to adopt security posture. Work on strategic and highly visible security activities across the software organization. Be an advocate for security and participate in a security champions program. Take ownership and drive teams to deliver quality secured products on time following Agile lean software development process. The essential requirements of the job include: Bachelor’s degree with 9 years in product security OR Master’s degree in field with 7 years of related work experience. Three (3) years’ experience managing team. Demonstrated success and influence in the Product Security and Cloud Security space. Experience defining security policy, technology requirements, and control objectives. Experience successfully rolling out and maturing Secure SDLC program. In-depth experience identifying and protecting against web application and web service security vulnerabilities including those found in the OWASP Top 10 and CWE Top 25. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Medical Device Industry standards like FDA, NIST. The salary range for this role is ($130-$150k) . This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
