Product Marketing Manager, Gaming Content

The Metaverse Content Product Marketing team is seeking an individual who is passionate about building and marketing innovative Virtual Reality (VR) and Mixed Reality (MR) games and experiences that inspire new audiences to discover Meta Quest platforms. This position will join a team responsible for product marketing of games in VR/MR, and work closely with Integrated Marketing, Marketing Insights, Data Science, Game Developers and Content Leadership. They will create go-to-market plans for new games, and support in-market titles with a focus on live operations, while driving growth strategy and providing direction for future investments.

The right person can effectively be both strategic and execution-oriented, and is analytical and creative. They are good at building consensus and influencing others through strong marketing strategy, but are not afraid to dive into the details. They should have a passion for gaming and bringing games to a broad and diverse audience, as well as experience launching titles in top game franchises. This product marketing team is focused on the inbound phase of product marketing and strategy to inform outbound marketing with internal partners. Inbound product marketing responsibilities include up front analysis to identify market needs by segment, opportunity and audience sizing, product positioning and key messaging, content portfolio strategy, channel marketing strategy, and being the “voice of the user.” Outbound strategy will cover campaigns end-to-end, coming up with the mix and execution to highlight and promote the games that will bring new users to our platform.Product Marketing Manager, Gaming Content Responsibilities

  • Create product marketing strategy to identify opportunities to grow the VR audience through creation, acquisition and promotion of VR/MR games.
  • Partner effectively with Content leaders and broader marketing teams to lead successful product marketing communications and go to market plans around key game titles, and clearly communicate value propositions of new products to channel marketing and brand teams.
  • Leverage quantitative and qualitative insights from research and analysis to select key titles to promote, influence the partnerships strategy and inform game portfolio positioning, go-to-market plans, creative assets, and campaigns.
  • Partner with others on the content marketing team to inform the overall long term VR content strategy.
  • Drive successful launch campaigns that rise to the scale and level of top AAA titles in the games industry today.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Marketing experience with top game franchises or studios, and a demonstrate interest for gaming.
  • 7+ years of marketing or product marketing experience.
  • Experience launching game titles on major platforms (such as Xbox, PlayStation, Steam), and/or supporting in-market live operations titles.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Communication experience across functions (e.g., creative teams, legal, policy, marketing, partnerships, ops).
  • Experience creating market requirement documents, including audience definition, positioning statements and clearly defined value proposition.
  • Analytical and problem-solving experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Effectiveness working independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and fluid environment, with experience to adapt, spot issues early, and escalate.
  • Interest and understanding of Virtual and Mixed reality.
  • MBA
  • Balance of creative and analytic thinking, putting forth best-in-class execution within a measurable and data-driven framework.

$154,000/year to $216,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Please note the national salary range listed in the job posting reflects the new hire salary range across levels and U.S. locations that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s final level and final location. Also, this range represents base salary only and does not include the company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity, or benefits , if applicable.
