Product Manager – Community

Our tech platform connects tutors and mentors to high school students aiming to achieve admission and scholarships to top universities in the US, UK and beyond.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Crimson Education is looking to hire the Product Manager for our Crimson Community platform , an internal forum-style platform housed within our online Crimson Web App, that serves Crimson students, staff, tutors, and alumni.

The role includes but is not limited to:
Managing the day-to-day of student interactions on the platform, including content moderation; “Recruiting” users onto the platform (both internal and external), measuring their engagement, understanding their needs of the platform in depth, and ensuring their needs are met ; Managing Community team members including Community Moderators, Experts, Heads of House, student interns, and more; Recruiting and hiring support staff for the Community as needed; Coordinating with our marketing team to launch coordinated global campaigns featuring content from the Community; Working with the sales team to ensure high levels of knowledge and availability of high quality assets to support sales outcomes; Coordinating with members of the service delivery team to drive engagement from students and staff; Collecting and assessing platform performance data (including analyzing data from the web app, conducting interviews and synthesizing, and more; Strategizing platform improvements and working with tech and service members to execute on the strategy; Pitching and developing events, resources, and competitions released exclusively on Crimson Community As the Community Lead, you will work with other key stakeholders—including the Executive Team—to strategize the future of the platform, its potential functions and business uses, and more

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Highly outgoing and social; comfort talking to people of all ages and stages Basic data analysis and synthesis Proficient working knowledge of social media platforms, including engagement types, notification types, etc.

Attentive and rapid communication skills to manage expectations, answer questions, and enable success across teams Comfort constantly learning on the job Comfort receiving feedback at face value and reverting immediately Comfort thinking outside the box in order to solve problems creatively—this job requires that you always look for solutions, rather than accept an obstacle as immovable Sound judgment—and knowing when to ask for support!

High level of organizational ability
