Product Manager

(p(Job Description:(br( (br(DEPARTMENT: Product Expereince(br( (br(FLSA STATUS: Exempt(br( (br(REPORTS TO: Director of Product Management(br( (br(EMPLOYEE STATUS: At-Will(br( (br(Job Summary: Product champion who owns the product roadmap and lifecycle of a designated IBD product/product line.

S/he will manage and work closely with the Engineering, Marketing/Acquisition, Content/Editorial and Customer Success groups to develop, scope, spec, build, and go-live with products, features and functions that delight our customers and bring a data-first understanding of our product suite.

The core of this role is about delivering world-class user experiences to our subscription & non-subscription based customers and to an ever-expanding and broader user base.

(br( (br(Duties & Responsibilities:(br( (ul( (li(Oversee the product strategy and execution for a designated IBD product/product line.

Understand business direction and translate business cases to use cases and product requirement(/li( (li(Work closely with internal stakeholders: content, marketing, ad sales, video, analytics, and engineering; ensure business goals and objectives are achieved in product offerings.(/li( (li(Be the voice of the customer internally and understand their pains and frustrations; own problems and work with core product development teams to provide solutions(/li( (li(Collaborate with core product development team including product, user experience, and engineering to define value, usability, and feasibility of product(/li( (li(Work closely with the Data & Analytics team and Stakeholders to define KPI, and measure against product performance data to define success criteria; identify product optimization & enhancement opportunities with post launch product performance data(/li( (li(Encourage a fast-paced approach within a cross functional team / culture to create, prototype, test and release products and features.(/li( (li(Own the entire product life cycle, from cradle to grave; constantly seek for opportunities to develop new product as well as enhance and optimize existing product or category using A/B and multivariate testing tools(/li( (li(Oversee the design and usability of designated product/productline.

Work with UX designer to create workflow, prototype and lead usability testing.(/li( (li(Lead product innovation, brainstorm with implementation teams, and constantly evaluate new ideas through quick prototyping, user testing, and validation(/li( (li(Work with an agile mentality in collaboration with engineering, design/UX, product marketing, content/editorial and other teams in the defining a path forward for the successful execution of applications and products.(/li( (li(Be the conduit between business and engineering to address business stakeholders’ needs and concerns; make trade-off decisions and set priority(/li( (li(Develop a real time feedback loop to monitor product category (features, design, usability).

Leverage this feedback and integrate into a continuously improving experience.(/li( (/ul( (br(Competencies:(br( (ul( (li(Perform all work and activities with honesty and integrity.(/li( (li(Effectively communicate (and listen) clearly, professionally, politely and persuasively in all situations; respond well and in a reasonable, timely manner.(/li( (li(Challenge conventional practices and use creativity and information to lead, innovate, problem solve, and implement ideas to contribute to the growth of the organization.(/li( (li(Support and meet company/department goals and core values.(/li( (li(Collaborate with co-workers to achieve common goals.(/li( (li(Take personal responsibility for productivity, quality and timeliness of work.(/li( (li(Problem Solving/Analysis.(/li( (li(Technical Capacity.(/li( (li(Time Management.(/li( (/ul( (br(Qualifications & Requirements:(br( (ul( (li(Bachelor’s degree(/li( (li(2-3 years of product manager experience in a fast paced B2C consumer facing company(/li( (li(Minimum 2 years of mobile web and native app (iOS/Android) product experience(/li( (li(Strong technology background with a firm grasp on the interconnected relationship between product and engineering teams.(/li( (li(Understand how to build a mission-driven product that translates our brand promises into user experiences.(/li( (li(Experience with UI/UX design, product requirement (including user stories, use cases, KPI, survey questionnaire, user testing scripts), and content management workflows.(/li( (li(Familiar with user research framework including usability test, persona, customer journey, survey, and user interviews(/li( (li(Experience in leveraging A/B & multivariate testing tool in product optimization and enhancement(/li( (li(Familiar with analytics products including Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics(/li( (li(Familiar with Agile/Scrum & Kanban methodology; Certified PO preferred(/li( (li(Exposure to developing tools / features to increase customer usage / retention.(/li( (li(Familiar with the stock/financial market and understand options trading are big plus(/li( (/ul( (br(Dow Jones , Making Careers Newsworthy(br( (br(All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status.
