Come join VMware’s new and exciting Modern Applications Business Unit (MAPBU) team, made up of products and services under the Tanzu portfolio to help customers build, run and manage their most important applications.

We build applications with velocity to run in a cloud-native environment, run open-source Kubernetes with consistency, and manage our customers’ entire footprint with confidence to help them achieve their business outcomes.

Product Leader for Tanzu Insights will be responsible for portfolio-wide Telemetry, Analytics, and Data Services that help drive adoption and consumption of Tanzu products.

This unique role enables the R&D organization to gain deeper understanding of product usage for data-driven decisions and helps business and field organizations understand and grow consumption of our SaaS and Subscription products. 

Roles and Responsibilities

Partner with a set of internal stakeholders to deeply understand data needs and translate those needs into data and product requirements.

Define durable metric for Tanzu’s end to end Digital Experience, value consumption, and operational metric.

Identify and fill data gaps, and deliver metric as a service to 1st party stakeholders.

Drive vision and roadmap for product Telemetry, including instrumentation, collection, customer-facing policies, data privacy and compliance.

Identify innovative ways to deliver Insights as a core subscription value for Tanzu customers. 

Collaborate with engineering and data teams to turn requirements into outcome driven roadmap for predictive and prescriptive analytics.

Drive fundamental improvements in data quality and governance, and partner with VMware’s central organizations on joint long term projects. 

Required Skills

10+ years of experience in software technology products, with 5+ years within Product Management. 

At least 5 years of experience with data related domains such as Data Warehouse, Analytics, Governance, and Privacy. 

Understanding of modern data science and machine learning approaches. 

Product management experience leading at least one product from concept to delivery. 

Ability to communicate to executive level and large audiences with compelling, clear, logical and data driven arguments.

Intellectual curiosity & willingness to take ownership of deliverables.

Engineering or equivalent, MBA preferred.

For positions located in Colorado: This position has a minimum base salary which starts at ​$121,000.

Bonus, commission, and/or equity may be eligible for this position.
