These Ardell products include the latest in lip color, eye shadow palettes, brow color, finishing powders and more. As the Product Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for the complete concept-to-launch process targeting national and international retail markets . You’ll also utilize a keen awareness of global color and beauty trends to identify creative, advanced, and relevant opportunities for the continued growth of this portfolio. In every aspect, you’ll demonstrate a true passion for new product development and everything to do with beauty.
Responsibilities
Manages a variety of tasks as they relate to strategic coordination of all aspects of the new product development process
· Leads activities to formulate and launch new products
· Identifies trends, current and emerging competitors including their collections and brand launches
· Uses strategic thinking throughout the development process
· Tracks product development from concept to launch with on-time delivery of critical milestones
· Oversees brand development of all products
· Researches and collects information on new and current trending raw materials, ingredients, textures, shades and technologies
· Sources and negotiates with reputable suppliers from around the world
· Coordinates and communicates with cross-functional teams providing relevant information and data: Purchasing, Sourcing, Marketing, Sales and Creative
· Leads internal communication as it relates to product briefs, formula evaluation, copy and claims, artwork and regulatory deliverables
· Manages requirements for all packaging and POP displays
· Organizes lab briefs and lab communications
· Supervises Project Management system to manage all project deadlines
· Manages and resolves any quality issues post production
Qualifications
· Must have experience in beauty product development
· Knowledge of color cosmetic ingredients and manufacturing methods
· Exhibit strong leadership and organizational skills
· Possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
· Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment with a high sense of urgency
· Ability to produce and deliver professional presentations
· Proficient in Microsoft Office with a strong knowledge of Excel and Power Point
· Knowledge of project management software a plus
