Job description:

A vital part of Fanbyte’s business is partnering with Publishers, Agencies & Advertisers. We are seeking a talented Product & Data Manager who will lead our efforts to make Fanbyte grow our business. You will create new verticals and solutions that will guide Fanbyte’s ecosystem. The candidate must possess acute business acumen to properly present Fanbyte’s perspective, positions, and requirements to customers, while carefully understanding the business needs and goals of our clients. This person should provide necessary documentation, project plans, and technical guidance to ensure seamless onboarding. It’s important to bring in hard numbers to validate advertising dollars and ensure companies are communicating effectively. The Product Manager tells the story behind advertising campaigns’ effectiveness, and acts as the project point person for each campaign. From fielding post-sale inquiries to managing aspects of the research execution process, As the product and technical expert, this person works closely with the partner to monitor our products’ performance for key clients.   The position is temporary remote due to Covid but is expected to be an in-person position in Playa Vista when return to work resumes. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Define product strategy and improve our clients’ (internal and external) experience using a variety of inputs, and clearly articulate rationale behind product decisions.

  • Understand and execute a user experience strategy and manage the production of tools and features across several major websites.

  • Collaborate with engineers in a Product Manager/Owner capacity; own and manage the development team’s backlog.

  • Be daily technical adviser responsible for managing the pre and post sales technical relationship to ensure seamless integration for Fanbyte.

  • In collaboration with design, engineering, and analytics, lead the end-to-end success of projects from discovery to launch.

  • Analysis and monitor online advertisements according to project proposals / media plans

  • Be able to identify, troubleshoot and communicate with others to solve online ad trafficking issues.

  • Proactively document project status internally and externally on a regular basis.

  • Monitor all projects to ensure results are actionable for the client.

  • Testing and troubleshooting/fault-isolation of existing and new integration.

Qualifications

What you bring to the team: 

  • BA/BS from an accredited university in Business, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related discipline.
  • An eye for long-term strategic vision, and can also operate in the details of short-term projects.
  • Product Owner certification preferred, but familiarity with agile/Scrum is a must.
  • Knowledge of web and mobile technologies, such as HTML, Javascript, HTTP.
  • Digital Media Planning, Account Management/Coordination, Advertising Operations or Trafficking experience is preferred.
  • A thorough understanding of the digital media ecosystem spanning ad operations, yield optimization, ad serving platforms, and analytics.
  • Proven success with managing technical projects to completion.
  • 2+ years of experience in a related technical client-facing role.
