CEVA is hiring a Business Process Engineering Manager (Business Process Excellence) located in Los Angeles, CA. The BPEM will assist in the development of logistics and supply chain solutions for new and existing customers. Responsibilities will also include analytical and simulation modelling to support process development optimization. This position requires close partnership with operations personnel to resolve issues and improve processes.
Summary of Key Responsibilities: Lead and support the development of best-in-class operating solutions in the areas of warehousing design, and transportation design. Solutions include consideration of all operational elements including but not limited to cost, service requirements, operational processes, utilization of technology/IT, equipment requirements/selection, and staffing plans. Analyze existing operations and provide improvement recommendations for existing customer solutions. Create ROI financial models for proposed and existing operating solutions. Quickly adapt to different working environments, build relationships and be able to both work and lead teams efficiently for success. Design new processes to improve safety, boost productivity, quality, and profitability. Establish ongoing programs to ensure continuous improvement. This includes the use of Kaizen, LEAN, and the EQS program to maintain quality performance. Encourage use of Performance Management system in all facets of the operation. Monitor performance metrics and measurements related to individuals, teams, and processes. Perform complex engineering tasks of design, evaluation, problem-solving, analysis and planning to support logistics operations. Provide state of the art facility design, redesign and layout and analysis for improved profitability, performance, quality and reliability to support operational goals. Plan and design equipment layouts, workflow, and accident prevention measure to maintain efficient and safe utilization of plant facilities. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing at all levels of the organization to include Executive Leadership and know when to escalate impediments and barriers. Conduct time & motion studies and evaluate production standards. Ensure ongoing customer service and maintain customer relations through focusing on the contract’s daily operations based on customer’s needs. Responsible for attainment of profit objectives of contracts, provide financial analysis and decision making for the customer. Responsible for the organic growth and development of additional business opportunities with the existing customer. Ensure safety, maintain quality, establish and monitor cost control programs. Oversee general management within the company guidelines. Firm understanding of cost control programs, including annual budget development, monthly P&L review, payroll, and cost analysis.
Education & Certifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline. MBA or MS Degree in Applied Statistics or Industrial Engineering preferred.
Experience: Five years engineering and/or operations experience preferred. Experienced in project management methodologies to develop solution-driven strategy plans, implementing business requirements analysis and testing processes, and identifying timeline constraints, and risks. Proficient hands-on experience with preferred methods, engineered standards, MSD and time studies, and managing direct and indirect performance and planning tools. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Visio, Project and Access, as well as AutoCAD, SQ L and simulation tools. PKMS knowledge a plus. Ability to develop short and long-range project planning and effectively communicate information to diverse work groups. Need strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to manage multiple projects and set priorities. Knowledgeable of ISO guidelines for documentation, process, and leading an organization to successful ISO certification. Proven success at setting and achieving ambitious goals while having a sense of urgency with regard to key initiatives – Exceptional follow-up skills and attention to detail needed. Experience writing procedures, work instructions, and other related documents. Proficient in PowerPoint development and presentation skills.
Licenses and Certifications: Six Sigma Certification preferred.
Travel: Up to 50% travel to site operations may be required.
