Principal Product Manager (Flexible Location)

Requisition ID # 109564
Job Category : Customer Support / Operations
Job Level : Manager/Principal
Business Unit: Electric Operations
Department Overview
Make an impact from the inside!

The Asset Failure Analysis (AFA) team sits under Electric Asset Strategy in Electric Operations.

AFA investigates equipment-caused ignition events by evaluating available data and failed equipment to determine apparent causes of failure.

Team members then establish the extent to which the cause conditions identified exist elsewhere in the system, putting those assets at risk.

Corrective Actions are developed and executed on, to reduce the risk of future failure events.

AFA is a high visibility and fast paced team that has an extensive impact.

AFA team members are intellectually curious, are engaged problem solvers, and are motivated by the positive effect their work has on grid reliability, resiliency, and customer safety.

The AFA team is also responsible for evaluating and introducing new technology solutions to address gaps in detection and inspection methods for identifying potential operating risks.
The Electric Operations group ensures the delivery of safe and reliable electric service to our customers.

Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E’s electric distribution, transmission, and substation operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration, and emergency response.
