Arcadis seeks a Principal Claims Consultant with a broad and established construction attorney network to join our team in Los Angeles, CA.

As a Principal Claims Consultant, you will have the opportunity to expand your client network and apply your construction claims expertise on a variety of projects in the Los Angeles, CA area.

If you possess solid leadership; technical, organizational, and communication skills; and have a proven track record we offer an outstanding professional opportunity for you.

Role accountabilities:

  • Expand the construction attorney market in Southern California.
  • Manage and perform expert claims analysis and resolution assignments.
  • Oversee the claims team in the analysis or preparation of a complex construction claims.
  • Market and promote construction claims services, management of projects, financial planning, and control.
  • Establish and maintain professional business relations with clients.
  • Interface effectively with clients, coworkers, and others.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Architecture or related degree is required.
  • A minimum of 15 years of construction and/or construction claims experience.
  • Experience in Project Controls, CPM scheduling, delay analysis, and productivity analysis.
  • Experience in claims and dispute resolution, including mediation, dispute review boards, arbitration, and litigation.
  • Experience on large, complex construction projects.
  • Heavy Civil or Building construction experience.

Key Attributes:

  • Knowledge and ability to quickly understand construction contracts, principals of construction and contractor means and methods is required.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications and organizational skills are a must

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active involvement in The American Bar Association (ABA), California Lawyers Association (CLA), or other construction attorney associations.
