Aon is looking for a Premium Administration Assistant ManagerAs part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting Health Solutions in Farmington, Connecticut.
As a Premium Administration Assistant Manager, you will report directly to the Manager of Premium Administration.
This includes being responsible for planning, directing, and supervising the operations within the premium administration unit, including the people and processes.
Items requiring support include, but are not limited to;Your impact as a Premium Administration Assistant ManagerJob Responsibilities:Leading the People:Work with Human Resources to staff, recruit, interview, select, hire, and train colleagues as needed.Provide oversight and direction to the colleagues within the Premium Administration unit.Coach, mentor and develop staff, including overseeing new colleague onboarding and providing development feedback.Lead colleagues to meet the organization’s expectations for productivity and qualityMaintain colleague work schedules including assignments, training, vacation, and paid time off, cover for absenteeism and overtime scheduling, and manage a Smart Working environment.Responsible for ongoing evaluation of staff.
Perform audits to ensure they are following all procedures and rules.
Identify any performance issues and build training plans as needed.Maintain clear communication.
Appropriately communicate organization information through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and appropriate email and regular interpersonal communication.Implementing the process:Constantly review our internal processes and procedures and look for ways to increase efficiency, including enhancements to our systems.Review and manage all Pay App and Accounting reports.Ensure premium and data is reconciled and processed in a timely manner for clients and insurance carriers.Resolve all issues and discrepancies in a thorough and timely manner.Major issues with high impact to our carrier relationships, client relationships or large premium amount problems must be communicated to Senior Leadership.Monitor premium administration rep workloads and readjust as needed.Perform periodic audits of all correspondence and letter templates generated by premium administration staff to ensure they are current and accurate.Train the unit on new products and processing requirements.Ensure all premium administration interactions with customers (phone, email, correspondence) regarding products, benefits and payments are accurate, timely and professional.Manage the preparation and maintenance of reports vital to carry out the work within Premium Administration.
Prepare periodic reports, as necessary or requested, to track progress or volume.Communicate regularly with other managers and FC departments; new business, client services, field, licensing, commission and sales.Work with insurance carrier auditors during the review of our administration policies, processes, and procedures.Work with insurance carriers on new product implementations for administration.
