Portfolio Oversight Manager

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Enterprise Change Portfolio (ECM) Oversight Manager will support the ECM Program and is responsible for providing effective risk oversight and monitoring of the ECM Portfolio and reinforces ECM Policy and Standards adherence.

Under the direction of the ECM Manager position will support the strategic development and implementation of the change management function for 2LOD, delivering on a broad portfolio of complex, business critical programs, projects and initiatives.

Position will be responsible for the intake, distribution, and delivery of business opportunities and change management needs which align with enterprise changes, maintaining a high value proposition for the companys internal partners.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Execute 2LOD Change Management oversight activities (e.g., review and challenge of risks and mitigation plans) and monitor the ECM Portfolio to provide insights of CNB’s risk profile and potential impacts to the bank’s Risk Posture and board approved Risk Appetite.
  • Assist with review and challenge of ECM intake decisions of identified enterprise change initiatives and checkpoint readiness.
  • Conduct independent testing of enterprise change initiatives to ensure adherence to the ECM Policy and Standards and identify any issues.
  • Identify emerging risks and issues through oversight activities and interact with cross-functional stakeholders to determine root causes.
  • Engage and coordinate with other risk domains to provide risk oversight of the ECM Portfolio as appropriate.
  • Monitor ECM Portfolio and assess 2LOD Change Management capacity based on the volume and complexity of enterprise changes.
  • Interact and coordinate with RBC on reporting and alignment of ECM Policy and Standards.
  • Collaborate with the ECM Governance Manager on delivering training and communication for the ECM Framework, Policy, and Standards based on insights gathered from oversight activities.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Must-Have*

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Minimum 5 years of Project Management and/or Risk Management experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of banking or financial industry experience.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong computer skills with knowledge in basic software programs like Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must have functional knowledge of SharePoint.
  • Strong strategic and critical thinking skills with ability to probe for additional information, clarify assumptions, and confirm agreed-upon actions.
  • Ability to challenge/question the status quo and uncover issues.
  • Has an understanding of regulations impacting area supported.
  • Strong understanding of banking industry and the client expectations that constitute premier client service.
  • Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of project methodology, management tools and techniques across all project activities.
  • Possess superior organizational, verbal, and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Must be able to convey complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong interpersonal/teamwork skills with the ability to effectively communicate and interact professionally with all levels of individuals including executive management, both internally to CNB and externally to the community and public.
  • Ability to work with a cross-functional stakeholder group.
  • Possess the ability to work on several projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
