PROFILE:

Our client is a privately owned but expanding meat cooking company just North of Nashville who supplies the retail and hospitality industries with their meats. With new business coming in from new customers, our client is expanding by building a new facility and expanding the existing plant. In this role you will be managing one plant initially but will eventually have multi-site responsibility. The size of our client’s company is roughly 150 employees across three shifts.

POSITION:

In this role you will lead all manufacturing operations and have full P&L responsibility of the operation and its throughput and maintaining all certifications. Our client currently holds a AA BRC certification and is also SQF certified. You will oversee the management team at the plant and will report to the President of the company.

REQUIREMENTS:

– Must have a background in maintaining a BRC certification

– Must have a proven track record of managing a food manufacturing plant

– Ideal candidates will have a background in meat preparation particularly smoking operations

– Ideal candidates will also have a technical background as well as direct production leadership experience

– Prior experience reporting to a CEO or President is preferred

– Must be a US citizen or Green Card holder

Job Requirements:

  • Incorporate plant floor organization, and plant cleanliness among plant personnel
  • Oversee daily plant production as well as plant inventory
  • Oversee plant and production employees
  • Developing continuous plant improvement projects
  • Maintain all plant quality certifications
  • Develop plant operating team staff
  • Coordinate and maintain data integrity of plant data for plant operations
  • Perform plant maintenance and housekeeping
  • Incorporate shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel
  • Recommend the plant’s operating budget
  • Providing leadership to all plant personnel
  • Updating plant process hazard analysis
  • Increase plant efficiency and profitability
  • Maintain the plant in accordance with standard guidelines for plant image
  • Oversee the daily production operations of the plant
  • Manage all aspects of plant sanitation
  • Manage multiple ready mix plant operations
  • Maximize efficiencies for plant maintenance and operations
  • Develop and execute the plant manufacturing budgets
  • Manage and control the plant business
