Performance Improvement and Risk Management Manager

Shriners Hospitals for Children® Los Angeles is currently seeking to hire a Performance Improvement and Risk Management Manager to join our experienced team of physicians and healthcare professionals to make a difference in the lives of our patients and to help their families make good healthcare decisions.

To plan, direct, and manage Performance Improvement functions for the Hospital; including Performance Improvement, Clinical Outcomes Management, Compliance/Regulatory Affairs, Safety/Risk Management, Emergency/Disaster Preparedness, and coordination of Strategic Planning.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to complete management and oversight for all policies and procedures that contribute to the accomplishment of financial, material and human resource goals and objectives of the hospital as it relates to the Performance Improvement and Risk Management Department.

Lead in transition of patient centered pediatric services in a co-located and shared services class model with Huntington Memorial Hospital and lead in the coordination, development, and execution of business plans.

Responsibilities:
Establishing, maintaining, coordinating, and periodically reviewing/revising an interdisciplinary hospital wide performance improvement program to ensure the ongoing monitoring, evaluation, assessment and improvement of patient care and services and the organization.
Establishing, maintaining, coordinating, integrating, and periodically reviewing/ revising all current Risk Management components of the Hospital Risk Management program.
Coordinating education and training of staff for regulatory and accrediting agencies standards/regulations.

(TJC, CDPH,CMA/IMQ).

Responsible for coordinating state and regulatory agency hospital surveys and inspections.
Promoting a safe environment as the Hospital Safety Officer.
Managing the patient relations program, including but not limited to responding to patient complaints/ compliments.
Other duties as assigned.
Work Experience:
Minimum 4 years’ experience in Risk Management and Performance Improvement.
Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Prefer Bachelor’s degree in related field.
License, Certification or Registration Required :
Los Angeles County Fire Card
Language Skills:
Fluent in English required.
Bilingual preferred.
Experience:
Minimum: 4 years (Required)
