People Operations Director

Introduction to the team We are looking for an experienced leader to lead the HR/HRIS Operations, Total Rewards, and Employee Relations functions for Moss Adams.

Reporting to the Executive Director of HR, our ideal candidate will be passionate about building great teams, leveraging technology, and developing scalable solutions to ensure we deliver a one-of-a-kind employee experience at Moss Adams.

The People Operations Director will be responsible for designing, transforming, and implementing our People service delivery model as well as our People digital roadmap while partnering with other stakeholders to oversee processes, programs, policies to support a scalable and progressive People team.

Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to people technology and reporting, data analytics, compensation, benefits administration, leave management, as well as HR policies, practices and regulations.

The People Operations Director has experience in designing effective and efficient HR processes and operations and a talent for analyzing complex data and telling the business story as well as solving problems through the data.

The right candidate will possess a strong operational and process mindset, and the ability to scale the team and processes through growth over the next few years.

Responsibilities: Lead, develop, and inspire a skilled and innovative People Operations team Work with HR/HRIS Operations leader to design, implement, and oversee our digital People roadmap and People service delivery model Provide vision and focus on innovation through automation, process improvement and system enhancements, while continuously improving efficiencies Drive overall strategy for development of a wide variety of people reports, dashboards, and executive scorecards for business leaders to determine predictive trends and make effective business decisions regarding people strategies Partner with HR/HRIS Operations leader to manage the strategy around the integration of data from Moss Adams HCM, LMS and ATS systems and continually recommend process improvements for the business Collaborate with Total Rewards leader to oversee Moss Adams HR systems, programs, and policies related to compensation, leave programs, HR policies, practices, & regulations, and data analytics that shape the employee experience while being efficient, scalable, and reflecting our culture and values Work in tandem with Total Rewards leader to evaluate and oversee firmwide total rewards strategies and programs focused on the health, wealth, and well-being of employee, partner, and retiree population In partnership with legal counsel, provide leadership on human resources technical, legal, and regulatory environments along with employee relations strategies, policies, and practices Partner with People Experience Director, HR Field team members and other key stakeholders to develop program support and service models Maintain knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding benefits, compensation, and leave administration while staying in touch with upcoming legislation to ensure Moss Adams is compliant Oversee people policies and compliance matters (e.g., employee manual, policies, state/federal regulations) as well as employee relations Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; emphasis in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred; Master’s degree preferred Minimum of 15 years of human resources or related experience in a complex organization required; including demonstrated involvement with building and leading high-performing teams and fostering an inclusive culture; experience in public accounting or professional services environment preferred Previous experience working with people operations, processes, systems including HRIS SaaS solutions, applicant tracking, and learning management systems preferred Deep business acumen and broad-based HR experience with ability to partner, collaborate, and work effectively across departments while building trusted relationships and positively influencing others in a virtual environment Strong executive presence and demonstrated leadership skills, good judgement, and ability to effectively interface with employees and leaders at all levels Exceptional verbal and written communication skills including the ability to articulate complex issues to stakeholders and senior leaders Proven ability to influence and drive change aligning people strategy with business goals Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, practices, and immigration matters Ability to travel as needed, approximately 5%
