Job Summary:The Paint Manager leads the Paint department, receiving in raw machined and fabricatedparts and delivering finished, painted components.
This position oversees a full paint systemusing both powder coat and wet paint.Duties and Responsibilities:Primary ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and guidance for a group of up to 60 people, with 2-4 direct reportsEnsure a safe working environmentEstablish and maintain a culture of continuous improvementProvide motivation, support and guidance to all employeesEstablish workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product safety or integrityImplement Lean manufacturing practicesSet ambitious production goals and report on progressEnsure Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program is enforcedWork cross functionally with all support groupsMonitor and improve on first pass yieldRequirements:EducationHigh School Degree required.
Experience/Knowledge10 years of manufacturing experience, at least 5 years in a Leadership roleExperience managing a powder coat or wet paint system required SkillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to effectively communicate with all levels of employees in a courteous and professional mannerAbility to effectively function as a team playerAbility to work independently and work on multiple projects simultaneouslyComputerIntermediate level knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Power Point requiredPhysicalAbility to sit for up to 8 hours or more per day with occasional standing/walking.Work Schedule-Full-time.

as a general rule-Ability to work beyond a normal schedule during the week, and at times on the weekends asneeded to support early/late on-site meetings and off-shift employees as well as travel issues that arise.
