Our 109,000 colleagues serve people in more than 160 countries.nWe have an immediate opening in our Columbus, OH location for a Packaging Procurement Program Manager.nWHAT YOUxe2x80x99LL DOn Responsible for the planning, development and execution of cross-functional strategic projects / programs globally to meet Abbottxe2x80x99s Supply Chain strategy programs that could include manufacturing capacity, capability needs, innovation programs, and implementation of procurement processes to monitor supplier performance, supplier asset management programs and manage supply risks.n Manages multiple, often concurrent global projects / programs moving towards a singular end goal.

Makes difficult decisions regarding priorities among projects / programs.

Identifies project interrelationships that affect priority and timing decisions.n Defines a vision for the future that aligns with Abbott goals and critical business objectives when setting strategies for projects / programs.

Leads and contributes to the development of long-term business and organizational strategies.n Coordinates sponsor/stakeholder management across Supply Chain, R&D, Global Commercial teams, and Procurement.n Defines project and program governance by establishing core team and steering structures, RACI, communication plan, and decision rights.n Effectively communicates with all levels throughout the organization.

Conveys information effectively through formal and informal presentations.

Prepares and presents to executive management and obtains their buy-in for major programs.n Serves as organization spokesperson on large strategic initiatives.

Acts as an advisor to senior management.

Oversees the distribution of project portfolio/program information to executive management, directors and other key stakeholders.n Anticipates and understands the business and organizational needs and develops a thorough knowledge of the customer and global challenges when developing a project / program scope.n Fosters an environment of innovation in others.

Integrates experiences and approaches from multiple disciplines to develop the best solution in the total business context.n Benchmarks internally and externally.n Explores strategic alternatives and makes recommendations.

Performs economic analysis of multiple competing project / program alternatives.n Leads the project / program team members in using established PM tools and techniques to manage scope, schedule, quality, and cost and deliver the overall organizational objectives.n Develops and utilizes common methods, procedures and metrics for tracking and reporting progress across the portfolio of projects and Procurement strategic initiatives to Abbott leadership.n Manages the Risk Assessment program and coordinates risk mitigation prioritization, tracking and reporting.n Develops and maintains an effective Supplier Asset Program based on Supplier and Abbott data.

Identifies manufacturing assets risks, performance trends and opportunities for a robust supplier manufacturing network.n Anticipates and identifies areas of tactical and strategic risk and mitigates risks through early risk assessments and implementation of fallback / mitigation strategies.n Works well with other experts and leaders within the organization in a collaborative, fast-paced goal-driven environment.

Demonstrated ability to present and get buy in of upper management for major programs.nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEE YOUxe2x80x99LL BRINGnRequired:n Bachelor’s degree, with 3 years of related industry experiencen Strategic decision-making skills and ability to lead teams or organization through the process.n Strong analytical, interpersonal, and leadership skills.n Strong negotiation, facilitation and influencing skills.n 3 years of manufacturing process / technical experience in the injection
– and blow-molding industry.n Ability to express complex concepts both verbally and in writing to diverse groups of people.n Ability to align diverse teams to a common visionn Self-directed and results oriented with long term focus.n Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with management at all levels.n 3xc2xa0years of project management experience, risk management and supplier management, including successful oversight of large, complex projects or programs.n A career history marked by a consistent series of significant contributions and accomplishments.n Capable of developing solutions to complex problems.n Travel up to 25%.”
