Orion Talent is helping a client hire an Outside Sales Consultant in Los Angeles, CA.Position Description: Outside Sales ConsultantPrimary Responsibilities:Manage all aspects of sales cycle:Qualify LeadSchedule AppointmentScope and Assess ProjectDevelop Estimate/BidGenerate ProposalNegotiate and CloseProject Manage to ensure successful execution.Prospect warm leads via; phone, email, social media, direct mail, and in-person (when geographically applicable).Manage sales funnel/pipeline.Attend bid walks and on-site property meetings (where applicable).Collaborate with the Operations department as needed to achieve project success.Report sales analytics, successes, and opportunities to President/CEO at regularly scheduled intervals.Requirements:1-2 years+ B2B sales (construction industry preferred).A success-driven salesperson with a thirst to learn and hone business sales skillset.Goal-oriented, with aspirations of growing professionally.”Hunter” mindset – not afraid to pick up the phone and call prospects.Team player who enjoys collaborating inter-departmentally.Proficient CRM usage.Experience selling complex solutions preferred.Experience selling within construction industries preferred.High school diploma or GED (College Degree Preferred)Ability to travel (up to 50% of the time at customer sites generally all within a 90-minute drive)Ability to lift up to 40lbs and climb a ladder to access rooftops (up to 25% of the time).Valid CA driver’s license and clean driving record.Position Details:Location: Los Angeles, CAHours: M-F 7a-4p. Can expect to split time between the office and meeting with customers in the field.Salary: $50-60k base salary + commissions. Expected total first year comp is ~$90-110k, 2nd year expected comp is $125-150k. This position also comes with employee-owned equity in the company.
