Medical taxonomies which are covered include Hospice and Palliative Medicine, Otolaryngology/Facial Plastic Surgery, Registered Nurse, Gynecology, Vascular & Interventional Radiology, Surgery, Clinical, Nuclear Radiology, Psychiatry, Neurology and many more The Clinical Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising the clinical staff and clinical operations of the Cedars-Sinai Medical Group offices by performing the following duties personally or through assigned personnel. Jobs ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises all clinical operations and administrative responsibilities including back office and radiology staff of the medical practice(s). Assists in the development, review, and revision of standard operating policies and procedures in collaboration with senior management. Oversees, and as necessary, performs administrative functions to include answering and triaging telephone calls for patient care matters, chart preparation for clinical care, maintaining and filing medical records, and assisting with appointment scheduling. Coordinates, or serves as liaison, for administrative support activities including facilities management, pharmacy, utilization management, quality management, risk management, human resources, and payroll. Controls wage and non-wage expenses including pharmacy and medical supplies in accordance with the budgetary guidelines set by the Organization. Performs nursing tasks and functions within the scope and practice of RN licensure. Supervisory responsibilities The Clinical Operations Supervisor directly supervises back office (LVN, Medical Assistant and Radiology Tech) personnel, and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include: Interviewing, hiring, and training new employees. Planning, assigning, directing work and determining work hours. Appraising performance and assist in staff development. Addressing patient, physician, and staff concerns and resolving problems accordingly. Managing payroll, monitoring employees’ accruals and time off, and overtime usage. Ensuring a safe environment for staff and patients; participate in organization’s safety committee and implement recommendations as required. Understanding and implementing the organization’s patient care standards and requirements, including areas such as safety and quality assurance as is appropriate. Manage the physician and nurse’s schedules to provide quality care and services, recommending schedule improvements as needed. Assist Senior Management with the monitoring of performance measures and designing methods for improving the quality of care and service delivered in our physician practices. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s Degree preferred, three or more years medical office experience, preferably in a multi-specialty medical group setting, previous medical office management and/or supervisory experience. Strong interpersonal skills, especially in the areas of patient and physician relations. Proven track record with customer service, training, and ability to motivate others to effect positive change. Strong computer skills, experience with Microsoft office, IDX, or other computerized practice management systems preferred. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Current California RN License required.
