Los Angeles based independent production company with a robust slate of movies and TV series in development has an opening for an Operations Manager.
Reporting to the President, the position ensures the day-to-day activities of the company are organized and operating effectively while maintaining company culture and addressing the needs of employees.
The Operations Manager serves as the trusted supporter and adviser to the team members with respect to all internal operational needs.
Professionalism, discretion and confidentiality are essential to the role.
Administrative & Operational Support
Manage & maintain company operational files, systems and operations protocols, including;
Employee Handbook
Company master documents and files
Tracking staff time off
Holiday reminders
Conducting and/or overseeing employee and company annual review process
Oversee and manage internal onboarding of new employees
Company point of contact for IT and oversight of external IT team to optimize all company IT needs
Company point of contact for HR and work with external HR team to optimize all company HR needs
Internship management
Assist with planning and organizing company bonding activities
– happy hours, team building events, summer and holiday parties, coordinating luncheons, birthday/anniversary lunches; etc
Manage office and office procedures
– stocking supplies, parking vouchers and passes, outsourced vendors, (e.g.
IT, phone services)
Assist operations cost management in partnership with company bookkeeper and accountant including light internal bookkeeping
Increase or maintain the efficiency of the office through innovative approaches to scheduling and communication workflow
People (HR) / Company Support
Develop and maintain positive work culture and working relationships with team members in order to support team cohesiveness and morale
Understand the workflow, job responsibilities, and cross-functional dependencies of each employee on this small team
Provide high-level support to the leaders
Stay abreast of company business activities including key development projects, productions, and film festivals and support as needed
Serve as a liaison between company and external partners, ensuring excellent client relationships
Qualifications
· Minimum 5 years of experience, ideally at a production company
· Bachelor’s degree preferred
· Advanced efficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite, Proficiency with Adobe creative suite a plus
· Familiarity or basic background in budgets and accounting principles
· Minimum 3 year of experience managing people
· History of successful leadership and implementation of projects and initiatives
· Access to car and valid driver’s license preferred
· Must reside in the Los Angeles area

– $90,000.00 per year
