Location: Costa Mesa, CA The Operations is responsible for ensuring that the Business Unit attains its Operational Performance Objectives through Proactive Measures (Workforce Planning, Training and Development, Planning and Scheduling, leveraging of Country/Region/Branch Best Practices, Process Compliance, Crisis Management and Continuous Improvement in accordance with company policies and SOPs). Responsibilities include: Contributes to Regional Strategic Planning (include each Branch and Department) regarding Organizational Structure, Manpower Development and Financial Planning. Develop / Implement Operational Strategies and Objectives to ensure Regional Goal achievement (Customer, Company, Employee). Acts as the BU representative on committees such as PE&Q, CPP.b, Voice of Customer and Safety. Drive practices into Branch Organization. Responsible for Workforce Planning for Region to manage spikes, gaps and BTS projections. Ensure that Best Practices and Lessons Learned are shared across the Region (find, communicate, replicate). Responsible for Continuous Improvements. Responsible for Crisis Management. Assists / Ensures Compliance of Large Project Planning (Project Charters, Execution Planning and Strategy, etc.) for each Branch. Inspection through Financial Review and Job-Site Visibility. Development of Job Descriptions and Training Curriculums for Branch Operations Teams in alignment with Product Roadmap and Market Trends. Drive Branch Long and Short-Term Manpower Planning in conjunction with local leadership. Interview, hire, train, mentor, evaluate and terminate Operations Personnel in conjunction with local leadership. Responsible for Branch Risk Management and Slippage in unison with local leadership. Assists in Branch Claim Preparation and Negotiations. Liaison between the Business Unit and LOB on operational issues. Prepare Operating Reports, Forecasts, and Metrics as required. Responsible for Development and Implementation of Tools and Processes. Responsible for compliance with Corporate SOP Qualifications Four (4) year Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent experience Understanding of P&L management and the levers of influence Strong sales, technical and management skills Project Management Professional certification is a plus 10+ years of project management experience deploying HVAC mechanical & electrical systems Good track record of obtaining results with minimal direction in a fast-paced team environment Strong knowledge of contracting procedures and tactics relative to such areas as project correspondence, documentation, timely notice of claims, subcontract negotiation and subcontract administration Clear understanding of Revenue, Cost, Gross Margin and Cash Management Excellent customer service skills Excellent leadership skills. Good interpersonal team skills for teamwork, respect, courtesy, tact, and discretion. Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Travel Expectations ~ 50%.
