About The Role:

As a CBRE Operations Management Manager, you will manage or lead the team responsible for planning, managing, and directing operations for a small to medium-sized office or offices. This will include managing the overall office including ensuring employee and visitor experiences are consistent with CBRE standards.

The Role is responsible for coordinating staff functions and operations that support the organization’s goals and strategies. Duties include providing the required training, coaching, and direction to staff to provide needed support to the business.

What You’ll Do:

Strategic Partnership

  • Partner with the local Market Leader/Managing Director to understand and help drive initiatives including a focus on growth through recruiting, onboarding, and support.
  • Act as a strategic partner to the Operations Director and local leadership teams in office growth initiatives, office culture and engagement initiatives, organizational efficiencies, and improved occupancy percentages where applicable.
  • Partner with functional leaders, regional teams, departments, and colleagues to identify and implement support for initiatives and organizational “standard processes.”
  • In partnership with the Finance Business Partner, provide fiscal oversight and direction to manage operating expenses to budget, control spend and identify cost savings and operational efficiencies.

Operational Excellence

  • Coordinate and manage the team’s daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues with and for brokerage professionals and leadership.
  • Enhance platform leverage through continual education of support staff and the Producer population on CBRE tools, internal and external systems as well as company policy, protocol, etc.in tools such as Deal IQ and Finishing First.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures business and professional licensing, real estate law, and state and federal guidelines.
  • Facilitate the communication of policies, procedures, and initiatives to create consistency across the region and/or assigned offices.
  • Assist with the development of training programs, business processes, and system training programs.
  • Develop and apply knowledge of industry and of own discipline and experience to achieve team and departmental objectives.
  • General administrative tasks as needed.

People & Culture

  • Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff and effectively manage employee performance. Conduct performance evaluations, set goals and provide coaching and feedback.
  • Oversee the recruitment, hiring and onboarding of new employees.
  • Manage the overall office, culture and facility including vendors to ensure CBRE standards are achieved, and the employee experience is enhanced.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Strive to continuously improve service delivery to our professional to enhance customer outcomes.

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred.
  • Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive approach.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Operations Manager position is $90,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Operations Manager position is $120,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
