Job DescriptionPosition Overview: Boeing Defense Space Security is seeking an Electronics Mechanical Manager (K level) to manage engineering teams designing future generations of One Boeing electronics to join the Space Electronics organization based in El Segundo, CA.
The Boeing Electronics Organization supports many efforts across the company including but not limited to: BCA Avionics, BDS Missiles and Weapons Systems, Launch Vehicles, and Autonomous Platforms.
Position Responsibilities: * Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of design and verification * Manages & oversees One Boeing Mechanical Engineering Team technical execution & product delivery * Acquires resources Provides technical management of engineers and leads process improvements * Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals and objectives * Develops and maintains relationships with customers stakeholders, peers partners and direct reports * Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes * Manages develops and motivates employees * Drives employee performance development, hiring, and staffing projections This position requires the ability to obtain U.S.
Security Clearance post start, for which the U.S.
Government requires U.S.
Citizenship.
An interim and/or final U.S.
top secret clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience ): * Experience leading or managing engineering teams * Experience developing engineering processes * Bachelor’s degree in engineering or any technical field * Experience with Electronics Product Design and mechanical engineering Preferred Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience ): * One or more years of experience in engineering development, release, thermal, and structural analysis * Advance degree and MBA preferred Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
