This respected medical center in the Los Angeles Area is actively seeking an a Nursing Supervisor to oversee this high-volume Neonatal ICU (Intensive Care Unit). The NICU Nursing Supervisor will play an important role in the continued evolution and development of this Baby-Friendly hospital, and it’s continuing commitment to serving the community around the Bay.

The NICU Nursing Supervisor will take on a challenging and exciting role in the Women’s and Children’s Health Service Line. Reporting to the Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse Manager, the Supervisor will oversee the clinical and administrative operations of a quiet and thoughtful 30-bed, Level III high-acuity Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). You’ll serve as both a clinical and operational leader, taking oversight of budgetary formulation and maintenance, as well as leading clinical education, skills development, and best practices.

Supported by a talented two dedicated RNC-NIC Charge Nurses, and leading a team of experienced Neonatal Registered Nurses, you’ll join a team of stellar caregivers. Working in collaboration with Assistant Directors from Labor & Delivery, Obstetrics, and Postpartum care, this Supervisor will help develop the procedures and policies that allow the service line and continuum of care to function in ways that focus on what’s best for the patients.

Also serving as a clinical nurse leader for the NICU, the Nursing Supervisor will take on development of new evidence-based initiatives, as well as maintaining current improvement initiatives. In addition to serving as a mentor and a source of education for the nurses in the NICU, you’ll also get to work on cutting-edge programs like reevaluating the Drug Withdrawal Baby program and improving the skin-to-skin time reduction program.
