Material Program Manager (Supply Chain Planning Specialist) specifically in support of Advanced Programs efforts within Global Supply Chain in Northridge, CA.Job Description:The Material Program Manager (MPM) is a strong leader with demonstrated project management and supply chain management skills.

The ideal candidate will be able to function with minimal supervision as a liaison for assigned program efforts in support of Supply Chain Management activities and provide continuity between various Supply Chain functions, including Sourcing, Logistics, and Production Control.

Other responsibilities including but not limited to:Liaison for assigned program(s) and supply chain management function including buyers, planners, subcontract administrators, customers, suppliers, etc.Represent Northrop Grumman (NG) in Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and leadership briefings (internal/external)Point of contact interfacing with the Program Office and internal customers; Quality, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Contracts, and others as neededTotal supply chain execution for assigned program(s) from proposal through product deliveryResponsible for preparing and executing Material Program Plans (MPPs)Understand basic technical knowledge of the assigned program(s)Balance strategic thinking with tactical application to support program executionIdentify and mitigate program risks as they pertain to material requirementsOversee program planning and execution through applicable phases to support prime program requirements: concept, exploration, engineering development, advanced development, production, sustainment, retirement, etc.Meet company and customer requirements by providing the linkage between customer, subcontractor, program management and internal support functionsDrive timely and clearly communicated program decisions and recommendationsEnsure program-wide focus on safety, reliability, cost, and schedule and adequacy of systems, procedures, people and selection of companies (companies, strategic partners) for long term successChallenge business impediments to excellence and continuous improvementDrive data based decision makingCost accounting responsibility (material and labor) for an assigned programEstablish/negotiate material budgets to support program requirementsEstablish and track monthly sales/expense forecasts, risks, and opportunitiesFocal point and lead for Program EACs as it pertains to materialBasic Qualifications to Succeed:High school diploma/GED AND a minimum of seven (7) years of supply chain planning experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years supply chain planning experience; OR a Master’s degree and one (1) years supply chain planning experience Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government issued Secret clearance; US citizenship is requiredMust be able to exercise influence and lead othersDemonstrated leadership skills and experience managing multiple projects from inception to completionAbility to make independent decisions, be self-motivated, possess excellent communications skills, detail-oriented, and team playerCapable of multi-tasking and able to work extended hours as necessaryCommunicate clearly, and excel in a fast paced environment,Ability to be flexible, innovative, work with speed and agility to drive tasks to completionIntermediate user with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Project, Excel and PowerPointMaterial Program Management and/or Supply Chain Management experience working on prime defense programsDemonstrate strong written and verbal communication and presentation skillsStrong Program and Budget Management skillsDesired Experience:Supply Chain/Program Management experience under a Prime ContractIntegrated Product Team experienceDeltek Costpoint experienceCertified Professional in Supply Chain Management (CPSM)Project Management Professional (PMP) CertificationUnderstanding of Government Procurement processes and regulationsAbility to obtain DoD Secret security clearanceLean and Six Sigma Training and/or Certification desiredExperience leading and support prime proposal efforts#NGSkillsSalary Range: 103700 155500Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
