MUFG: Hyperion System Manager

Job DescriptionDuties: Managing Information Technology projects and providing direct technology supervisory management, including directly supervising the work of 5 Software Engineers and 3 Systems Analysts engaged in designing, developing, coding, maintaining, and modifying application programs and projects.

Managing Financial Planning and Analysis systems implementation in the Banking or Financial Services industry in the area of budgeting, forecasting and organizational financial planning.

Overseeing the implementation and technical support for Oracle Hyperion Planning, Oracle Hyperion Essbase and Oracle Hyperion Data Relationship Manager.

Reviewing requirements and objective of information technology projects to determine priorities and staffing requirements and schedules; and delegating and coordinating the work of subordinates.

Defining, drafting, and distributing project plans; directing and controlling project progress and reviewing work to ensure that programs adhere to corporate policies, practices and programming quality standards.

Directing, controlling, and monitoring project progress to ensure necessary resources have been allocated and to ensure that projects will be delivered in a timely manner; implementing programs into the production environment and monitoring program performance.

Ensuring application systems are reliable and data files maintain data integrity, and ensuring that application failures and data inconsistencies are corrected in an expedient manner.

Overseeing the maintenance of programming standards for all products placed into production.

Ensuring compliance with data security and auditing requirements of associated applications.

Assisting users by recognizing needs and creating required work orders to meet these needs.

Providing advice and technical assistance to internal customers in performing data processing functions including feasibility studies, detailed requirements, application system design, and processing problems; and ensuring that appropriate user documentation is provided.

Evaluating system after it is put into use to ensure that the user needs have been met and that the system is fulfilling the originally defined requirements at a satisfactory level.

Performing project group administration using the Division’s administrative products and procedures.

Preparing activity and status reports for management of all project activities; aiding in the preparation of cost/benefit analysis report, audit responses, special project reports and project implementation reports.

Determining the most effective responsibilities for their software engineer/analysts and assigning work based on this structure and on available resources and commitments.

Performing standard personnel administration in accordance with Bank guidelines including evaluating employee performance, preparing appraisals, conducting evaluations, interviewing potential candidates, or terminating staff members as necessary.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems or a related field (or foreign equivalent degree).Experience: 5 years of experience leading Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) engagements for implementation and support of Hyperion Applications developed using Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Planning or Hyperion Financial Management (HFM); and 3 years of experience must include managing Financial Planning and Analysis systems implementation in the Banking or Financial Services industry in the area of budgeting, forecasting and organizational financial planning; implementing and providing technical support for Oracle Hyperion Planning, Oracle Hyperion Essbase or Oracle Hyperion Data Relationship Manager; and managing information technology projects and providing direct technology supervisory management.Location: Los Angeles, CA 90071We are committed to leveraging the diverse backgrounds, perspectives and experience of our workforce to create opportunities for our people and our business; Equal Opportunity Employer: Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran.
